yeah, don't believe what they call history. most of it is highly embellished or down right lies. in fact you can often see the evolution of the tall tales or as it may be, de-evolution. look at the original holocaust tales. absurd. as i said LOOK, then you can lambaste me but not before.
@uranorexic I wasn't thne one who said he had the gun, but the article could bephoney I don't know too much about it but still I wasn;t the one who said he had the gun that was the guy who thouh\ght hardin was a good guy I donn't
@uranorexic thanks for the advice but it will be hard to find info on Robbins my friend is an archeologist and found Robbins's journal so he's makng an article out of it.
@uranorexic I did not read his autobiography and I am beginning to think that I have not read the complete narrative of his life in real terms. I will read that one though. sometime. I have one of the guns he carried at the time of his life, and that is what got me interested in him. A gun that was produced in 1877 and widely used at the time.
@uranorexic I did not read anything about these accounts in the two books I have read. I imagine he was pretty wicked to survive as long as he did. I think I barely know about the man and the history books are kinda thin as to his tempermant and day to day living in that age. RH DSD
@uranorexic I wouldn't go as far as calling Hardin a ci\oward but he was scum. But the worst of them all is Samuel Henry Robbins. I'm not trying to celebrate him but he was the besd\st with guns and he was so evil that he killed over 70 men but they say it was over 100. And another thing though Hardin was scum at least he did try to reform him self at the end of his life, he became a school teacher but the past caught up with him and shot him in the back
@uranorexic he was skilled with a gun though, you could say him and wild bill were the deadliest men in the West, they got along though they were on different sides of the law
P.S. Did not know this till recently but he is kin to Andy Emmons (my husband) and is listed as a 4th cousin from his Tacker/Black maternal side. JWH's mother was from Pisgae Ridge near Richland Chambers in the neighboring county of Navarro. JWH's father was a school teacher for a time in Wortham (near the Navarro county line but still in Freestone). It's said that JWH taught there for a very brief time too during one of his "straight" periods. He once pulled a gun on an unruly bunch o students
Jackson @ 2:26 there is an EVP on this recording while I'm talking....listen closely to your audio. Thought you might want to know. I had never seen this clip till today.
@randallECTRIC - WTF is wrong with you dude, are you a damn idiot? great great great grandfather?? John Wesley Hardin was killed 115 years ago. the average human lives 75 years? maybe you should dive a little deeper into your f-ed up familytree and get your story straight before you come in here spitting out dumbass claims that john wesly hardin is your GREAT GREAT GREAT Grandfather you fucking moron. i bet you claim to be a direct decendant of Mickey Mouse and Barack Obama too you fuck nut.
im a direct descendant he was my great, great, great grandfather, the hardin genes are strong he never killed someone for snoring thats bullshit, there are no mistakes cuz i am a direct descendant my grandpa Hardin had a couple of his guns which came up "missing" but i think he sold them cuz he isnt too proud of his heritage, his dad was the grandson of John and i guess him and his dads dad was kinda loose cannons and had alot of mental problems..I resemble him alot, like I said Hardin genes are thick
@randallECTRIC God bless John Wesley , He lived by the law of survival and I am lucky enough to have an 1877 Colt 41 caliber DA Pistol which he carried. I practice drawing with the weapon and wonder how fast John could have whipped it out. He was a smart man, a good man, and right after the civil war, men settled their differences quickly and permanently. A true American. RESPECT= RH DSD
most of it is true the only reason i kno this is because i married his great great granddaughter true story they told me he was shot in waco texas my daughter looks just like him its really cool great video

@uranorexic I have a colt that was popular at the time and supposedly he used one similar model. I do not own any pistol he personally owned.

@youngguns80 People did not live that long in the 1800's, they had kids at 15 and died at 40. You have to remember that as far as ancient mortality.
