  • thats dope how it lets U touch em, mine used to try & bite me!!

  • Damn that one nice arow. Is that an Asian arow or jardini?

  • PRETTY TANK. BUT THAT ARROWANA NEEDS SUM MORE ROOM!!!

  • Nice Jardni arowana i think. The tank seems a little small though. Oh well fish grows as big as it can the size tank you gave them so it should be fine

  • You can't really say the tanks too small.... you don't see how long it is.

  • Seriously this is a pretty small tank for a Jardini, get atleast a 300g.

  • an uncle of mine had a silver arrowana, around this size.

It lets him, and only him, touch it.

    veracious eaters these arrowanas.

  • Beautiful fish my aro loves to be pet too but hes not nearly that large.

  • small tank flag these shit

  • First off, how big do you think my tank is? Secondly, you want to flag it? Go ahead, what would that do and how would you do that? Thirdly, learn some grammar, the correct grammar is "this" not "these". Thanks!

  • The tank does look a bit small. The ideal tank footprint for asian aros would be about 8'x3' because they can potentially grow to almost 3' long and they aren't very flexible so they can have difficulty turning around in smaller tanks. But yours seems to be healthy and doesn't look stunted at all, so I wouldn't worry about it.

  • @jonathank18 Way to tear that jackass apart. What a mook! I want one really bad. How much for an Arrowana? And are there different types of Arrowana (some better than others; perhaps an Arrowana that likes to be touched much like yours)

  • @orestisfikos Looks like a pretty happy and content arrowana to me...So grow up

  • amazing! did not know fish could get that friends!! how did you guys learn that he liked to be touched?

  • is that a silver arrowana?

    i gots a geen arrowana

  • blue green

  • Dude that's badass.

    I wish I had a fish I could pet.

  • That is sooooooooooooo cool !

  • nice fish

  • Thank you greatly one more ??? sorry how bigs the fishhy

  • Hi how bigs your tank

  • thats about one of the most amazing things I've seen while keeping fish, and I've added this video as a favorite. But I do gotta say that fish is to big for that tank, you should upgrade to a custom tank if at all possible. That is incredible though

  • haha it hums??

  • yes it hums, if you turn the volume up, you could hear it at 0:09

  • what tha fuck!thats soo cool and so creepy!!

  • tank is waaay to small the fish will get gill curl and die if you dont get a bigger tank!

and I would hate to see such a beutiful fish die

get a tank that is more like 7x2x2

  • it doesnt need a bigger tank, not yet. Jonathank18 try and keep the water changing frequent, and make sure the water is always clear.

  • i have a black Arrowana and its not aggressive at all. what do you feed yours? i feed mines krill

  • cichlid food and once a week raw shrimp

  • I know some fish like to have human attention, but too much fish petting will take off the protective slime that fish have. Now with a big fish like that it shouldn't matter but with smaller fish you might need to control yourself :P

  • yeah but the waters cleas so it dont matter

  • very expensive and rare fish

  • why the fuck doesnt it eat that clown loach

  • it doesn't eat other fishes, didn't teach it to be aggressive, never jumps either

  • probably cuz it's not a silver arowana.

  • Yep yep. Looks like a jardini.

    Great fish.

  • Never say never ;)

  • You shouldn't pet the Jardini like that, If you destroy the slime coat on the fish, it will allow parasites like Ich to penetrate the body.....but that is a nice fish tho......

  • ah what the hell it can get an infection

  • nice size arowana

  • is a 175 tank big enough for that fish or is it still growing and need another

  • well it really depends on the tanks footprint. To house 1 arowana you need a tank of at least 6 x 2. (in feet) (length x depth)

  • i think it stopped growing, i haven't really stopped to look at it lately

  • Beautiful Arowana or Aruanas, I had a couple that where well into the two foot long mark, I had them in a 1500 gallon lucite tank and well covered, actually used a pool sand filter and green house lighting, they lived a long time and where as this one very friendly... Made me miss having them...

  • Im just wondering if i can keep a pair of silver arowanna in a 8 ft long by 2 ft wide tank?

    thanks

  • shouldn't really keep them together, they are very territorial

  • u really shouldent touch it it isnt good for its skin it takes off the slime coat which is important if u didnt no

  • Beautiful fish, though I'm not such the tank is big enough for the arrowana even with the many gallons it had.

Keeping an arrowana is pretty difficult, having one THAT size truly takes experience. If you accidently starle one, they can actually SHATTER the tank if they swam right into it. I heard it happened to an person who had an 18 inch arrowana. The tank had arylic glass that was 1/2 an inch thick.

  • may I know how much you paid for this green?

  • i love your rtg jon how big was it when you first had it?and how long did it take for the arow to come to you .....im impressed i have just bought two rtg 6in

  • 18 inches, we picked it up from the person who sold it to us

  • what is the dimension of your tank

  • 6 ft long, 175 gallon

  • what type of filter are you using what do you feed your fish

  • fluval 403, i think thats the model number, and we feed it arrowana pellets or cichlid pellets, and sometimes raw shrimp

  • what are the dimension of your tank

  • poor loach

  • what?

  • big fish

  • does it not try to eat the parrot fish?

  • my silver is too mean to pet he bites...HARD

  • I hope I have have one but its really expensive these days. This size of arrowana can cost more than $1000.00.

  • Not to be an ass...but you DO know that petting fish like that rubs off the protective slime coating that they have, right? Maybe a Lab Retirever is more suited for your "petting" tendencies and you should get one.

  • we have a dog and its not an everyday thing we do with the petting, its more of a once, twice a year thing

  • o..tat was daring to do tat..

  • u are one brave mother fucker is that a jardini.its huge and i heard jardini are the most aggressive but it seems like that one is well trained. good jobe most of took a lot of courage.

  • That tank looks awfully small for such a big fish.. how big is the tank?

  • I used to have a 20"+ Silver Arowana I could pet too. I love arowanas.

  • silver arrowana's are too common for us

  • Silver Arrowana's are the least aggressive in my opinion. i use to have a Silver (about 20 inches long) 2 Australian golds (about 16 inches) in one tank. Silver one you could pet if you put your hand in there while he wasn't looking and let him swim to you by himself. if not they'd all snap at anything that touched the top of the water.

  • this one has never jumped at all, we've had 4 silver arrowana's and ALL have jumped out at some point in time, we had a silver one that was 33 inches long and when that thing hit the floor, it seriously sounded like someone was on the ground with a seizure

  • I've never seen anyone pet one of those before.... But I guess you trained yours well. hahah Kool fish

  • MAN! That is a sweet fish! So lucky, Asian Aro...if I had a bigger tank I'd get an Asian Aro :)

  • You should put more videos of this "Arowana" and if you have more show them too. Thxs

  • WOW ! DUDE IS THAT AN ASIAN AROWANA? OR JARDINI? THAT'S SO CRAZY I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN PET IT!? DAMN! THAT'S CRAZY FILL ME IN WHERE DID YOU GET IT? AND HOW LONG DID YOU HAVE IT FOR?

  • Very nice video

  • i see, very nice vid/fish.

  • such a nice fish :)

  • wow arent those fish aggressive like , wont it bite off your finger

  • no these fishes don't bite your fingers off, they're supposed to be aggressive but we got lucky with this one

  • arrowana's won't become aggressive if you don't feed it live food which includes blood worms. this arrowana accidently bit and held onto one of the parrot fishes before and realized that he wasn't supposed to eat it and let it go

  • it looks delicious. fillet or fry?
