  • im writing a paper about this poem. its so moving. i love listening to the author read it, ive listened to it over ten times im sure. hes an amazing poet!

  • Yeserday was the 25 anniversary of Charlie Howard's Death. I was living in Portland when it happened, and I attended a anti violence rally at the Unitarian Church. Everyone was given a candle and we walked up one end of congress street and down the other. I remember looking back and being amazed at the sight of all those candles. There was a bunch of jesus freaks yelling GOD HATES YOU and getting more and more frustrated when we laughed at them. It was beauftiful.
