iOS 4 on iPhone 3G with Multitasking/Wallpapers

yea the gay retarded multitasking, it looks just like it when open, but it does not multitask 3rd party apps, i used to have an iphone 3g and i enabled the multitasking, now i have the new ipod touch 4 and the multitasking works better than that lame 3g, that drops ios4 support foor 4.3 and above, ha ha you are stuck on 4.2.1!!! =P

you are lying to yourself if you believe multitasking is supported on your jailbroken 3g. notice how your tweeter is opened. it's the exact same as initially opened from the springboard. try installing BACKGROUNDER and you'll know what is running in the back and what's not. the ones that are actually running in background is native to iOS, like safari, email and etc.

i am reverting mine jb 3g cuz i just found out multitasking isn't really like 3gs or iphone 4.

@punjabi2002 yeah, find the "features for iphone 3G" package in cydia and use winterboard to enable wallpapers, percentage battery and multitasking. (I only use the percentage battery cuz wallpapers slows it down and I never use the multitasking)

there was a bit of lag between switching through apps. I don't think that any of us really care, but apple didn't want their devices to look bad multitasking, so they disabled it. I think that they should've given an option to multitask/use wallpapers, since i don't care about lag.

If u want back ground on ur iphone 3g 3rd gen you should better Jailbreak it and Unlock it it will be better then ios 4 for the iphone 3g 3rd gen I still using the 3.1.3 5.12.01 5.9 ios4 work well for iphone 4 or 3gs.

There is only one reason why it would be slow and thats because you didn't set up phone as new phone. ALWAYS SET UP PHONE LIKE NEW, meaning you will lose everything and have set it up again, not using restore. My 3g runs smooth as ever with multitasking and wallpaper just fine.

Do not use the APPLE multi task. Use the "backgrounder" apps. You have more control with mutiltask with Backgrounder. Example: Texting Message loads slow on IOS4 for 3G...so u can put that in the background. Apple's multitask does not allow you to control what you want in the background.

@davidc147 Seems everyone has different speed issues with iOS 4. But how slow is it to have to keep closing and opening apps without multitasking? I think they should've released multitasking with the ability to disable it. That way you could CHOSE to speed up your iphone if needed. Apple needs to start thinking about their impact on their devoted customers. What you said at the end of your video about the speed difference really makes me mad now. Thanks for the video.

@davidc147 its slow cuz u got the wallpaper in the background, when i jailbroke mine i had to re jailbreak it cuz the wallpaper slowed it down quite a bit but after i re jailbroke it , it was fine , fast , smooth and multitasking without that stupid background paper thing

@jimmyhellyeah123 Yup, it's jailbroken. The wallpapers and multitasking are added to the phone during the jailbreak process. I don't know if you can do it via PC yet. Check for updates on redsn0w 0.9.5 for more information. And yes the same process applies to iPod Touch 2G.

firstly download the ios4.0 2g IPSW

you then use redsnow the latest version

it wil ask you to browse for the ipsw... then folow the instructions and their will be checkboxes to enable backgrounding, and wallpaper.
