Black people in America were groovin to this tune OVER 40 YEARS AGO ! It brings back memories to me of the spring of 1969 ! DO THE MATH (today is 2011) / CHECK OUT GEORGE BENSONS VERSION, it's the best NOBODY CAN DO "OUR MUSIC" better than US / "THE MUSIC PEOPLE FOR THE WORLD !!
I've got to give it to them / a respectable rendition of a soul classic for Asian musicians / JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU. AFRICAN-AMERICAN SOUL MUSIC IS LOVED ALL OVER THE WORLD ! it's light on the base but a precision job / THUMBS UP!
Nice and BIG, the way this should be! It's great the way the vocalists included a snippet of "Am I The Same Girl" (an old Barbara Acklin number). GO GROOVE DYNASTY!
how many asians does it take to just barely dress up a badass song that 4 black guys laid down over 30 years ago? i'll need my fucking abacus to count that high, but i can tell you it takes 3 minutes to introduce all of them.
excellent performance, how about a live show in Bacolod City, Philippines, we love your style of arranging , more power to you guys pls contact pitch_rod@yahoo.com
Wow, they wiped the impatient grimmace that had started to form on my face during that long-ass introduction and turned it into a full on sh*t eating, head bobbing grin. LOL
You know, I hear everyone saying music is an international language. Here it is at it's best. They said that imatation is the best form of flatery. I think that the Young-Holt-Unlimited would have approved of this international version. It shows the inovative side of the oriants. I like this rendition of one of my all-time favorite. To you and your musical creativity. Thank you for your international flavor. I hope to see you guys in the US, especially the back up singners. (ladies) PineApple
No remake can match the sublime and powerfully soulful delivery of the original Soulful Strut. The smooth, cool, confident bass part in the original has never been matched by any subsequent remake version of this song.
not only are the japanese noted for the powerful nissan skylies, toyta supras, the evo lancers, and the subarus wrx...but they are also known to be great jazz musicians
This Hapa has been grooving to this since childhood (Fame Gang/Solid Gold from Muscle Shoals) and this is a FABULOUS version! Love it!

But I was hoping that the saxophonist & guitarist taking more leads.
The drums indeed is a lil' too much.
The brass was fantastic!
