That made a long time that I did not comment this video & extracts taken on my own videos by rmorecook
it are drawn from the mini-serie TV of the 70's on the real life of Jean-Roch Coignet (JRC) Captain of the Imperial Guard
The 1st part testifies to the departure for the camp of Boulogne (1804)
& the 2sd in Grand Uniform of the Imperial Guard testifies to the return of the campaign of Spain & the passage of JRC in the village where he was born
so, i'm very curious to know how an USA guy have this extract of this french mini-serie of the 70's about the live of The Captain "Jean Roch Coignet" (JRC)
it's rare to seek it even in France and we are few guy and fan of Empire to have extracts or the series in entirety like me for example ^^ (see my playlist for more extracts about the true live of JRC engaged private soldier in 1799 and who finishes Capitaine of the Imperial Guard in 1815)
i cant believe france is the 3rd best army. you dont have a parade!! is just indian marching!!!!

I can just imagine this same sight when the first French troops entered Berlin after Jena-Auerstadt.
