  • A piano master can play anything you give them. Try listening to Arkadi Volodos, Evgeny Kissin, etc. Some of them can replay a piece mostly just from hearing it. They have exceptional technical skills (speed, accuracy). They also can pick a piece apart and come up with exceptional phrasing, accents, articulation.

There are many good pianists around. Some 11 year olds can do what this guy is doing. Admiring him is one thing, but try listening to a few hundred excellent pianists first.

  • wow. I was getting bored at the start but when he did that jazz part. I loved it! :)

  • The above comments. with wit him not being a master. Well Shush Shush Shush Green Eyed Monster. He went straight thru different styles, with ease, transition, and colored chords. STOP HATING. Keep up the Good work man!

  • I wish I could play like that but Im barely a beginner so... too bad for me.

  • EXCELLENT PLAYING!!!!!!

  • Don;t doubt this guy, i took classes from him... he really is a master.

  • this guy's good but matt bellamy is the real piano master.

  • a real piano master is Chopin, Beethoven, Bach or Mozart Matt Bellamy is a noob in the front of the real master

  • I like Matt Bellamy, but I am sorry, all the new-age tricks employed by modern pop-pianists are really silly, especially when we compare the real seasoned skills from someone like Jorge Bolet , Glen Gould or Horowitz... Matt Bellamy is fine, but not a "master"

  • well i'm saying him as a pianist, he doesn't use any of those tricks when it's just him and piano, not one of his band's songs, and to me, he seems more of a master than any of those you listed. mainly because he seems to be more "one" with his instrument than any of them, he's about even otherwise.

  • arpeggiated hang cross-overs on major 9th chords and pulsating minor block chords are totally a new-agey trick- and I find it AMAZING that you would say that Matt Bellamy is more "one" with his instrument than Glen Gould or Horowitz.

  • ah, that was my bad. i thought you meant like synths and special effects. and i do think he's more one with his instrument. i see glen gould plays the piano, and i see matt bellamy plays music, on the piano. it seems more natural than speaking. i just don't see that with gould

  • Lov it! : )

  • insanely great

  • Very Very very nice!!!!!!! I love that music Brazil is my country lol

  • It's 5 O Clock

    LOL

  • What's with the frame skip at :57?

  • It is just ur computer telling you to get it fixed

  • What's the title of the last peace???

  • bravo ,bravo maestro

  • nice

  • exquisite piano-playing

  • VERY VERY NICE

  • i love this guy, hes my piano teacher, he really good. he teaches piano in tampa ,fl at guitar school

  • OUTSTANDING !!!

  • very nicely put together

  • fabulous

  • VERY GOOD!!!

  • that's nice but he's not a "piano's master" at all , i don't like his tecnique(the position of the right hand while playing fast notes) , by the way he has a good swing. 4/5 for the music :)

  • Lol Beautiful, its and song its make you happyXD

  • Totally amazing!!! Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic

  • This medley is so nice

  • very nice

  • GREAT PERFORMANCE.

  • SUPER PERFORMANCE!!!!

  • WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this the truth

  • I am talking about you stubby Pecker, can you do any better?let us see

  • your great mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • Are you kidding me? This guy is far above average!

  • now dont hate on me....but this is VERY average, there are thousands that are greater by far.

  • some of the voice leading was not quite right, or it was the video.....

  • SPLENDID

  • bravo

  • What a delightful few minutes. THanks for posting.

  • very enjoyable

  • WELL DONE

  • WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very nice

  • OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE: I especially liked the christmas carol.

  • WOW!!!!!. Classical, blues, gospel, country, latin. This guy is saying so much in a mere 3 minute video. (1) A nice piano adaptation of an orchestral work (2)The country segment is as good as Floyd Cramer (3)The variation on the hymn tune is as good as any of BEETHOVEN'S or MOZART's

(4)The use of those acciacaturas is perfect (one note crushed a little too fast or slow would render the interpretation of any of these styles to be unidiomatic...but this guy is precise on all of them.

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!!--------A masterful display of piano expertise. This video has everything: virtuosity, versatility. I detect a hint of something "instructional"as well. This video could well be an excerpt from a clinic on how to utilize an accaciatura in different styles of music

  • hes my piano teacher, he teaches piano here in tampa , its better when you see him in real life because every time he plays music its from listening he never uses sheet music, u gotta see him in real life to actually call him a paino master, i think he is referred to as piano master because of the ability to play anysong on piano. i could see why in this vid you wouldnt call him a piano master but in real life he is!

  • "Master" my ass!

  • can you do better?you ass

  • -_-;

    talent? i don't think so...

why emphasize on speed so much? thats not the point in music..

i could play faster if i tried.

  • Post your video up here big talker. This is a very small sample of this man's ability. I asked him to do it and most agree that it is amazing.

  • but cud u be just as accurate?

  • its five o'clock

    xD

  • He's not a master. I kept waiting for him to do something really fabulous, and he just didn't do it.

  • Well.. judging by the over 1500 favorited and 1600 ratings at a 4 star average, you're in the minority opinion!

By "really fabulous" do you mean juggle at the same time? Because that would really be.

  • (shrug) ...It's decent piano playing for an amateur, but absolutely nothing to call him a "piano master" for at all. 1600 ratings isn't really all that much, especially on youtube, where the majority of viewers don't really know how to judge a pianist's abilities.

For the record, I rated it at 1 star, not because of the playing, but because of the wildly overrated description....

  • You must be the teacher of the greats to have such insight and judgment abilities. Please share your mastery with us by posting your own stellar performance here for the world to see and cherish. Share your talent, thy true master. We wait to be humbled and amazed...

  • really liked the end bit, but i gotta agree with these boys, this guys no master. true hes got skills, but overcompensates with speed over style. id say 3 and 1/2 stars

  • hahahaha XD

    amazing :)

  • i love people who can play the piano - i love the piano -

  • MMMMMMHMMMMM!

  • woah im sure if he plays audition or gunz, he would own

  • um, i mean he's decent, but if you guys think this is some kind of master you really have missed a lot of professionals out there. his speed is something that in no way would be considered a "trick", and he needs to work on his timing. Honestly, it's average for an accomplished pianist.

  • Master of the piano indeed!!!!!

  • Awesome man wow i hope to reach that level of awesomeness lol

  • you may say hes not a master but youve got to see him in real life, he really is

  • hes really good hes paino teacher here in tampa im taking lessons from him fridays

  • well...master goes a bit far to say but hes definitely good

  • I'm a piano/keyboard player myself and this looks real enough to me. (I was laughing like crazy when I saw the lightning!)

  • i think this guy is a master i dont care what any1 says "In some moment his wrist is in wrong position" who cares ??? he can play!!!!

  • i play the piano and yeah, 'feeling' is easy it just the speed thats hard to master

  • Very nice! Thanks for sharing! :-)

  • i think youre a little too proud of yourself pianomaster...

  • Great, but not enough to be called piano master. Most pro's can already play that fast, and piano mastery is not just about speed. Most of piano is about interpretation and personality; which, unfortunately, I don't really see here.

  • Muy Asombroso, mis respetos para este homre, siempre quize aprender a tocar el piano

  • In some moment his wrist is in wrong position .

  • ROFL! Yea he's master alright......NOT!

  • I call him a master and he's is the best I've personally seen. This little improve might not be the "best" example. But as you can see, most folks agree that it is incredible. You little anonymous utube critics are morons overall. Get a life.

  • he is more than a master I can tell you that now

  • Coolio

  • last piece?? what is it??

  • awesome!

  • its five o'clock xD lol

  • WOW!!! MASTER!

  • Yeah he's poretty talented, but there's certainly better

  • I admire the time and effort put into it but it wasn't amazing for me. Totally digged the rhythm.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • Dang, this guy is talented!

  • dude, keep your wrist low, because you'll overbalast it.. and that really sucks (I'm talkin about your right hand) keep it up! (not your hand, but your skil ;) haha)

  • ITS FIVE OCLOCK!

  • 'its 5 o'clock'lol ,this is ace

  • it would sound so much better on a grand

  • o.o didn't realize i wasn't on my own account when i said that

  • Loved the moment when electric clock said "its 5 o'clocl' hes just there like "WTF?" =D =D =D

Loved the performance?...whats that mozarts piece called that he played at the beggining?

  • The one at the VERY beginning is called Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

  • fast nimble fingers is his skill. and he can clearly do all music that he wants to do, nice work.

  • One of his medley was a hymnal 'great is thy faithfulness'

  • haha cool :D

  • amazing. I don't think he was faking it...if he was, then he has mad acting skillz O.o

  • that was so rad!!!

  • The dude ROCKS!!! He's the Avatar of Piano! Phuck off all non-believers!

  • i dont find it extremely amazing. i wouldnt call him a master. for example, my friend can do way better and shes 14.

  • prove it

  • yea man !! homeboy rocks that shit lol. hey dave, it's ben (guitar guy). u know me fool !!

  • I pretty sure he would be far better than you friend, he isnt just playing one extordinary song, but playing serveral different tunes and styles of music.

  • hahq 5:00 lol... better get ready for happy hour

  • look at his relaxed hands!!

  • wow, that was hot

  • good but not amazing heard mistakes

  • this was one take of an original arrangement... you probably know 10 people who could play it better....

  • Watch Volodos play the wedding march if you want to see something really crazy.

  • This guy is talented in his own way, as his repertoires of genres are more vast then that of Volodos

  • Have you heard Volodos improvise jazz? There are no recordings but there are little video clips of him rehearsing. He plays to the highest standard in any genre.

  • really great ^^

  • cabron..tocas bien rapido..

    te copiare tu tecnica.

  • hehe very nice :) that lightening was funny :P and "its 5 oclock" cracked me up =D well done

  • Oh what a very strange but nice medley :)

  • lol its 5 o clock...

  • search "vitalij kuprij",he is the fastest keyboardist in the world.

  • chido

  • sounds very well! nice job =) and interessting technique

  • Chucho Valdes you tube his ass

but this guys plays very nice....

  • No effects. I've definatly seen faster. Ever seen the Video Game Play? That dude is insane.

  • hah nice effects. that is pretty damn fast
