In my eyes as a bass player, swing is always more important than ''flatness'', especially in jazz/blues, singing flat can sometimes turn out really cool :D!

the tenors are super flat...but you got the idea that it's jazzy and you made it swing

it has to be sung pretty fast... otherwise it's not as jazzy.
THere's more then a few people that are very flat. and it's really too fast.
