I just started running (well I run on the treadmill) but would you recommend these for a beginner runner? I'm also training for the smaller marathons as well.

just bought this shoe in the womans and will neverbe able to go back to ordinary running shoes, ive been addicted to assics all along till i tried these on and ran in them!!

Also be sure to check out the Brooks Pure Project "Pure Grit" trail shoe. It weighs a tad more and has better traction. You could also get both! - one for the roads and one for the trails. These Pure Project shoes also pair well with your regular trainers (Brooks Adrenaline, Defyance, Ravenna, Ghost, etc.)
