I personally would never eat my own... it does feel disgusting. HOWEVER, it is NORMAL in the mammal kingdom for new mothers to eat their placentas, for a variety of reasons. I'm saying that it is a normal thing that is not 'cannibalism' in that sick sense.

The only reason animals eat their placenta was because giving birth requires an exorbitant amount of energy from the process itself and for milk production which must be replenished as quickly as possible to ensure survivability of the mother and offspring. The placenta is a quick and easy source of protein and nutrition. Human have a refrigerator so they aren't going to be malnourished. This is idiotic and disgusting. Human used to eat bugs to survive. Now they don't have to eat crap.
