I grew up listening to eartha from my mothers records. There was something about her that I admired. She was a true star. She knew how to bring men crawling down on their knees to her. But she was also a realist and never once let anything or anyone bring her down. Thank you eartha for inspiring us all!

I was devastated when I heard of her death yesterday! I was fortune to get to see her in concert in Atlanta,Georgia on Oct.20th, 2007. You would never have guessed that she was 80, by her performance. She got standing ovations. I'm also fortunate to have a personally written letter from her from 1990. I wrote her a fan letter, and she replied with a hand written letter. I will always treasure this, and the memories of her concert. I still love her classic 80's disco hits too! Eartha R.I.P.

I saw her at that concert too. We flew from California just to see her. We sat in the 2nd row and I've never seen such an amazing performance. She sang songs that she'd been singing for 50 years and they sounded so fresh - so much heart. At the end of the concert she shook hands with those of us in the 1st and 2nd rows and looked each person in the eye as she thanked us for coming to the show. What kindness - she will be very missed.

She perfomed in Cheltenham in April 08, and it was recorded for a dvd which is due out just before Xmas, this song was one of the songs sang, she also sang a couple of very moving songs that I have never heard before either. She is truly amazing. She sings from the heart, with real passion and spirituality.
