Out of all the 'remixed' opening titles I've seen, this has the best editing by far. In fact, this video was what got me into The Tudors. :) Excellent work.

I've been inspired to create a similar video for the Matt Smith era once Series 6 wraps up later this year, and was wondering if you might be willing to give me a step in the right direction. Which programme(s) did you use to edit this video, and which version of the Tudors opening song did you use?

@Corvatis28 Oh wow, thank you! The program I used was Sony Vegas Pro 8, and the opening I used was Season 2 of The Tudors. One thing I remember doing a lot when I made this video was I watched the title sequence for S2 of The Tudors many, many, many times. I watched it very carefully to try to get my version as close, timing and visuals-wise, to what they had in the opener. Don't just try to match the music, try to match the transitions to what they did in the original.

I absolutley love this! I agree with dani...the Tudors theme works perfectly, given the Doctor's cosmic angst, and the dark, unhappy tone of the series. It also works with the romantic undertones of "Doctor Who". I also like your credit to Sydney Newman. I have seen other "Tudor Doctor Whos" and they don't acknowledge him as the original series creator. Wonderful!!

The Tudors is a historical drama on Showtime about Henry VIII and all those wives he had. It really is a gorgeous show. Not strictly historical, but very well done and wonderfully sexy.

Another opening credits crossover? Hmm, I suppose I could be pursuaded to do that, though I'd have to find another opening credits that haven't really been used much yet. I had thought of House, but then I remembered that 99% of House's credits is just artwork of body parts. Not great to work with, that.

If I think of something, I'm sure I'll work on it. They're short, so it's not *too* hard.

That's pretty good. I've never herd of the Tudors, but it reminds me of the opening of Buffy. I like these openings but I prefer the traditional Dr Who openings. I don't know any other show that does them like Dr Who.

The Tudors is a period show that runs in the US (and I think the UK picked it up as well). It's a not-so-historical look at the reign of Henry VIII and all his wives. It's pretty good if you ever get a chance to check it out.
