  • how is this bov? im thinking of getting it. what would you rate the quality?

    thanks

  • Can a BOV kit be installed on a stock turbo (2.0t Hyundai genesis model)?

  • @Ferrari360Spyder yep, it replaces the oem BOV

  • i dont know if this has been answered yet but, can you put a HKS SSQV4 Blow Off Valve on a stock genesis turbo??

  • @genesis202able yep, just need an adapter plate to fit the stock location...

  • i have a s60r volvo how can i forge a bov??

  • Hey man, is that the vented or recirculated BOV? any suggestions on which would be a better for the car?

    Thanks,

    Jd

  • @bmxful It's atmospherically vented - if it were recirculated you wouldn't hear the "pshhh" as it releases the air.

  • has this ever thrown off a cel?

  • for the 3.8L model, do i have to install a turbo system to get a bov to work or can i just install an exhaust system, down pipes, and headers?

    please reply asap, thankyou

  • @asianandreww In order to make use of a Blow off valve you need to have some sort of forced induction like a turbocharger or supercharger. With just headers/downpipe/exhaust there is no need for a BOV. Good luck!

  • @CFLGenesisClub Ohh, okay thankyou

  • @CFLGenesisClub how loud is this bov, in comparison to the hks bov?

  • what is that black hose like u type

  • I have a question... Will this be or work the same as the mopar blue plate?... I have a PT cruiser and uses the same turbo as your car and the srt4, I bought the PT and it was already installed and sounds loud!... will be this the same? will it work the same? because the mopar plate uses the stock diaphragm ... :) thanx

  • @niel80 I am not 100% sure but I have seen some of the Genesis Coupe guys running BOV's off of their SRT-4's. I believe it's the same style.

  • I work at a dealership for Hyundai, and honestly it doesn't take a Tech to tell you that it would have been easier to remove the top of the intake box with the intake tube of of the turbo inlet to allow you to reach in there easier.

  • i just got one of these for my genny it comes with two other springs???

is that for higher boost levels??

took me about an hour to install it man what a b!tch lol

first i lost the center seal and then was having a bit of trouble getting the bolts to thread in with out cross threading but in the end it sounds fukin dope!!!!

its really loud hahaha i took it for a spin and when i shifted and the blow off valve did its thing i scared the sh!t out of my neighbour hahahaha

    totally awesome

  • it was like morning when you started then night after you finished..... shit bro it took you that long to install a bov??

  • Comment removed

  • Dont own a genesis, but appears that it would be 800 million times easier if you would have removed the airbox.

  • omg thats wat she said on every thing he said

  • no boost leak with Forge valves tried and tested ...one of the best manufacturers on the market

  • Can use any BOV if you get the adaper braket... AGP makes a very good one for like $30. I would never use this kinnd of Valve due to boost leak. Good Install vid though. Would recommend just taking out the airbox it will allow you to do the whole job in about 15 minutes. You only need a 10mm socket for it.

  • Thanks, didn't realize it was so easy to install.

  • I'm sure you can use any BOV as long as you can fab up the charge pipe according to the system. UNLESS the system is similar to Audi and/or VW that has a return back to the turbo inlet then you need the right BOV. It's just called bypass valve I think.

    correct me if I'm wrong...

  • 1:25..what is the stock hose used for?

  • for the BOV..

  • dont all this void warranties?

  • yes

  • don't let the dealer see it if you're doing it.

  • @10fintec why? they can only void that portion of the warranty right?

  • @golden290 if anything you do to your car is related to the performance of the engine in this case(such as intakes) it will void overall warranty.

  • @10fintec eeeeh.... i guess i could take it off when I go into the stealership?

  • @golden290 yes :) altho it is a hassle, it's worth it IMO.

  • can u use a HKS SSQV for the genesis 2.0T ?!?

  • nice vid casey, nice hoodie...

  • sounds like a sewing machine O_o

  • Lindsey FTW! :)

  • An error occurred, please try again later.

  • Very in depth, step by step. I wish I had gotten the Genesis, but oh well. I still love the car, and I love the videos, great job, keep up the good work.

  • thx for the awesome vid..

it was educational and fun... ^^

umm.... what does bov does for the car?

    increase hp ??

  • @guhbooksun33 no it just more or less helps reduce back pressure and it helps a bit with throttle responce

and the genesis is notorious for the BOV seals leaking so it fixes that also
