@TheGreatGigInTheSkie sucks they don't use it in theaters as far I know anymore. The sound and effects we're awesome, and at the Rave the whole room shook from the bass. Now they have the cube intro that opens up into the waterfall :(

DLP is a projector...the Rave Theaters are all digital and this is the digital projector demo before the movie starts...kind of like the THX sound demonstrations...but more video quality.
Actually, DLP is a technology using millions of micro-mirrors to produce an image. DLP itself is not a projector, rather a technology used to project an image.
It actually stands for Digital Liquid Diode... You see the bulb turns into a liquid and melts when it's used, that's what gives it it's brightness. That's why when you use a project you have to let it cool down for a few minutes afterwards before unplugging it. It's turning back into a solid.
