There can be many reasons for the wealthy to join a 'peoples' rebelion still one should remember that the real cause of any rebelion is injustice real or percieved and that can fall upon anyone, rich or poor. Get enough people upset with their lot then they forget their social differences and combine against a common foe

@TheChundar: Also, not all serfs/peasants were poor. There were those who, by luck and skill, amassed wealth.
