  • As good as this workout may be, it strikes me as a bit dumb telling people (some who will have no knowledge or experience working out) to do upside down shoulder press to failure.

    Hopefully I'm not alone thinking this?

  • @MrEstk hi, im 17 and i have started the gym 2 weeks ago and i have ask ppl if this stop my growth...ur growth will stop if u take steroids, if u train very very hard as ur body cant approach that or if u do exercises in the wrong way... it will even deform ur body.     no it's nonsense, do you really think your body is so weak to allow something as minimal as exercizing to stop your growth. Stopping your growth doesn't mean being shorter than you could have been but means being sick, with frail bones, disproportionate body and weird spine curve and it happens only if your badly fracture your legs or have a tumor. Walking and running put 200x more pressure on your bones than exercising with weights or your bodyweight

  • The video and exercise is cool but a little hard for me. I do also know a link of a site that gives you great information and workout plans in gaining muscle and helping you achieve the lean muscular look. Body and muscle are well proportion that adds up to your appearance. Youtube won't allow me to post the link so I posted it on my profile.

  • kinda off topic, but I'm 15 weighing 155 and my 1 rep max for benching is 225, but ive been there for 3 months. any advice on how to build it up more? i think ive been on a plateau, but i've tried many things to break it, but my one rep max just wont budge.

    i was looking for a cheap way to train at home.. i just coulden't figure out for the life of me how in hell i would train my shoulders with decent resistance.. and it was there all the time!!.. time to get a resistance band..

    Actually before steroids and machines came in to such popularity among bodybuilders, doing hand stands ,and hand balancing exercises was one of the main ways old time bodybuilders built their shoulders (other way was clean and jerks). Dont think something has to be new and exciting for it to have merit, people have built muscles from callisthenics , when done correctly.

  • @TonyMon16 Yes you can build some muscle doing this, only to a certain extent, you need to overload your muscles for them to grow, (progressive overload) bodyweight can only build so much muscle.

    LOL how old are you? Go for it anyway, ye hand stand push ups do build muscle (up to a certain point, beyond that you need more weight but my guess is you now where near the point)

    Cause you said you were worried about needing up short from weights. That something kids worry about. From what i read though weights dont really stunt growth, if done sensibly (sensibly is 10-15 reps, 45 mins 3 week).

    you can quickly adjust by walking some steps away from the door to your max push or pull weight! it works more heavy than weights!
