This is exactly what I imagined Calvin sounding like, only without the feminine elements in the voice. I think this is all right, the haters just wish they could do it better.
Please. Somebody make more. This was funny and to be honest, looks like it was made by a true fan. Maybe you made this, maybe you didn't , but if you did, make more please. This is a service that is in VERY high demand.
@izzibrooke it's actually italian...I do agree it's awful but not because of the language...just because I think people shouldn't made cartoons out of C&H...just as BW wanted!
I always imagined Calvin having a much lower, more sagacious (smart) voice... After all, he was based off of the famous, French theologian, John Calvin. And I always imagined Hobbes having a jolly, optimistic voice (Thomas Hobbes). but that's just me...
This was fun to watch, the animation and story stayed true to the comic. Also, thanks for the subtitles, I'm lousy with foreign languages. I mean two years of Spanish and I can't even remember half the words I learned. Stinks really.
to all those curious, and all those ignorant, this is ITALIAN. the spanish and italian languages derive from the same roots so thus they might sound SIMILAR at times, but they are NOT. you have been learned.
@Cows2Luv you know that italians also use 'si' for yes, right? i think this is actually ITALIAN, not spanish. but nice try. just the way they speak and the accent they use isn't 'spanish'
@HaoleJames technically it was the Romans who invented the idea of Pizza, but the modern day Pizza we know and love originated in Italy as Neopolitan cuisine. The Americans had nothing to do with it.
@pspdipendente I did the research and thats how I know, maybe YOU need to do some research. and just so theirs no confusion, thats when you look in a book or go on the internet to read some facts
@JesusIsMyRoommate guys are you kidding me? i even cheked out ont the internet, they say pizza was born in italy, even the name "pizza" doesn't it sound a little italian?sure not american..
@darkatnight17q If you know even a bit of languages other than English, you would've heard Miss Wormwood say "Si, Calvin?" while the subtitles read "Yes, Calvin?" and si means yes in SPANISH.
This is very well done, and both accurate and respectful to the original.
I was always against the idea of turning Calvin and Hobbes into a cartoon, as I was positive it would lose the magic the strips had, but if it was done like in this short, it might actually work.
This is quite charming, and very well done. I really, really like it, but I think that, since Calvin and Hobbes is an American comic, I think it would be appropriate to use the American spelling of "Mom."
