LOL at you mate you need to go listen to them the opening intro to nemesis is thrash called speed picking but it seems you know nothing about that.

overall AE are melodeth but loads of thier stuff is thrash or in some cases even hard rock or virtuoso metal.

@GODSPEEDseven Well, I believe that Arch Enemy isn't THAT melodic as EToS is, but they're more melodic than most of american death metal bands, the same goes to bands like In Flames or Dark Tranquility. At least that's what I hear in their latest material. Early, they were not as melodic as they are nowadays, but they still weren't as non-melodic as Death or Possessed or Cannibal Corpse are. For instance, listen to Let The Killing Begin from their Stigmata album, it has a lot of melodic riffs.
