  • This was my favorite part of the entire episode.

  • What a fabulous duo. Jack got his start in the biz by performing with his Dad. It obviously was a loving family, great to see particularly in the rough and tumble world of entertainment.

  • Allan Jones was a well known Opera singer in his day. He also appeared in two Marx Brothers movies, A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races.

  • I'm very familiar with Jack Jones, but I'm not familiar with his father, Allan Jones. They both have great voices. Jack Jones, as many of you know, is the singer of the Theme song from The Love Boat. Thanks for posting!

  • Wonderful. Ol' Allan shows his son up a bit here though, doesn't he? What a voice!

  • Jack was a great "big band" type singer but he didn't have his Dad's pipes. That's one of my favorite songs.

  • Twenty eight years ago I took my girlfriend to the Darien Dinner Theatre in CT. Alan Jones was playing in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" .At the end of the play he belted out this song and nailed it, the song alone was worth the price of admission.

  • I haven't seen this since it first aired!!! THANK YOU!!!

  • looks like Shelly Hack ("Charlie perfume" and Charlies angels) as his wife

  • Nope, it's actress Laraine Stephens.

  • i loved the way this show showcased so many popular people

  • Dramatic? Why?

  • And Dorothy Lamour is playing Jacks mother !

    G

  • Perhaps the most dramatic moment in television history.
