@ExilLarkdanx They made the GBA versions, but the audio downright sucked, and the over vibrant graphics to compensate for the dark screen; a sloppy port. If only some would do the same with Breath of Fire I, or at least make a hack that can make Ryu run.

This looks wonderful. Whoever made this really put a lot of attention in those menu screens, and it shows. I have some questions though. The portrait icons look nice, but I prefer the originals. Any way I can change this if I download? Also, was Ryu's encounter with Barubary in the beginning cut out? According to this patch, it seems so...

Of what I've seen (or read) of the new translation so far, it is definitely very well done, much more so than the original one.

And the introductory scene still gives me the creeps. BoF 2's God is such a simple, yet powerful and convincing concept.

i've always liked this game but hated the translation...i just added the rom but for some reason i can't get it to work on my mac

@vanchai1: It should work on the Breath of Fire II (U) [!] rom. If not, you might try to google a tool for macs that removes the header, and then try patching it again.

wow that's actually a really good Rom version of - Breath of Fire II its cool how they did the opening for this, i'm hoping Capcom well make New BoF game such a great series i'm a big fan :D

You have to remove the header for the ROM with a program like SNESTOOL in order to use the patch. o.o

I was having issues w/ patching my ROM, even after removing the header & making sure to hard patch it. Found that it finally worked for me w/ the Breath of Fire II (U) [!] ROM and not the Breath of Fire II (U) ROM.
