  • Those are some beautiful chords. Does anyone have them charted?

  • I tried and it's full of aletered goodness... Not satisfied yet. Got to coninue searchin' with the pianist in my bop combo I guess !

  • Wonderful; been championing this track for years. Absolutely timeless; thanks for uploading Expansion x

  • Wow thanks for the post - finally tracked it down. My old car cassete player was stolen years ago with this on. He's a great songwriter - I think his song Haboglabotribin sung by Bernard Wright should have been used on the last version of Charlie and the chocolate factory. It would have gone so well with the dance of the Oompa Loompa's

  • I love this too bad!!!

  • The master craftsman, the Don! Very well put together, nice work.

  • Incredible song. Funky, jazzy, mean heavy bass, pretty chords with tension, I listened to this on my Ipod shuffle all summer when I'd get off of work in the morning.

  • i admit it...i sample this dude's tracks heavily!!! classic soul shit...

  • I was there at that Jazz Cafe gig. hot stuff!

  • this dude is excessively slept on. definately a musician's musician.

  • Ya see, Don rules the Universe. I spent time with him on Lenny white gigs circa 1983. He taught Nard, He's the KING

  • That guy can realy slap that bass guitar hard. I just love the sound of a slapped bass - simply awesome!

Is that really him? I won't state the obvious but he has changed beyond all recognition...but still a fantastic musician and singer though. I have one of his album from the early eighties. Thanks fo sharing this video with all the youtube folk.

  • Damn I'm Feeling that BASS!!! It's SAVAGE!!!

  • I can see why your name is Don because you are definitely the leader of Jazz funk.

  • This guy is amazing. I saw him at the Jazz Cafe some time ago and he blew me away. When is he coming back over? No-one plays like him. He's right up there with Stevie and Ramsey in my book. Nuff respect, nuff said

  • Thanks to Zero 7 and their LateNightTales compilation CD, I discovered Don Blackman and immediately purchased his 2 solo CDs. I would love to see him live! I love tight Funk music that includes jazz inflections

  • Sweet cut!!!!

  • Don Blackman is my father! No, my real father. I've listened to funk all my life with him around. This is one my favorite songs off the blackman album! Go Dad!

  • Just one of the many good songs found on this CLASSIC album! My Dad played Don's debut album RELIGIOUSLY when I was growing up!

  • The best funky song of the world !

Don had not only do the best Funk album, but he's also a wonderfull guy,so nice & with so much humor.
