I got bored and watched probably 30 kinetic typography videos this evening. This one and one with Stewie Griffin telling the girl off are the two best I've seen.

This one, as far as subject matter is dark and the design is fitting. The timing is excellent on it.

I liked Stewie because his rant is funny, but a deeper darker side of me laughs watching this one.

Wonderful work. Subject matter, texture, color scheme & choice of typeface work well together. For the people who have no earthly idea how to work after effects this may seem harsh but GO JUMP OFF A BRIDGE...it takes time & thoughtful planning to compose something like this. @BeAnBeAn22 The Fight Club Kinetic Typography piece was actually not a very complex exercise, time consuming but not extremely complex! It was done with After Effects cs3, and using other programs from the Adobe Creative Suite. To do something like this you can start searching the following techniques: Text Animation, Text Animators, Text Effects. The rest is just your own graphics put into After Effects.

I dissagree. Impact is a terrible choice and the scratchy free font from dafont is a copout and the kerning is TERRIBLE. The background is a generic grunge texture. The type doesn't interact with the background at all. The drop shadow is unnecessary and the colour scheme is appalling. I'm using this in my thesis as a great bad example of kinetic typography. Most of these youtube kinetic type vids are shite. check out Saul Bass, Nairn, Even stuff on Vimeo is better than this crap on YT. Sorry.

These are usually done using a combination of photoshop and after effects u use photoshop to create different scenes individually and than animated in after effects for those who are interested
