@shawil12 Thanks =) I have a bunch of Vandoren 3's (the blue box) and a few 3.5's. I switched over to 3.5 V12's recently, which sound great. It depends a lot on which mouthpiece I'm using too
@linnaes i just noticed that you had it on your page XD sorry, that must get annoying lol. I cant use vandorens worth crap! i have to use 3 and a halfs on rico, but i heard ricos were really bad. funny, cause everyone i ever tried were pretty good. lol. you must share your wisdommmmm lol
I've always wanted to learn how to play this song on my clarinet. Beautiful sound. -33 how can you make those notes high without squeaking? xD I can't do it
@ScreamForSkylyn Haha let's see...firm up your embouchure without biting, support your air from the diaphragm, and voice the note--as in you can't just put air through the instrument, you gotta play around with tongue and throat position until you can produce a resonant tone. The middle of the tongue should be raised to focus the airstream. Generally you want to shape your mouth/tongue as you would when saying "peu" in french, and make adjustments from there. Hope that helps :P
@fu7ur lol why thanks very much =). Hmm, how about if I have the time/patience to do it, I'll write the sheets out for you ^__^. You want it for clarinet?
@ohthemusiclife Although the vast majority of the quality of sound is dependent upon the player rather than the instrument, I would like to point out that having a good instrument better facilitates the growth of the player...i.e. a pro-level instrument is *capable* of producing a more rounded and centered tone than a student clarinet, and has better keywork to allow for ease of finger movement etc.
So if you plan on continuing with the clarinet, definitely consider upgrading :P
very talented bro not alot of ppl give credit to ppl who play band instruments but they dont kno tht yur learning something new n they rnt soo very good job :)
@Kidoh2173 Hmm, I don't really know anyone who look down on people who play band instruments, but they're missing out alright. Thanks for the comment!
@Kidoh2173 the discrimination varies from school to school, but i think it's just a matter of bullying kids who are different from the "mainstream". it's pretty sad, but i can remember a lot of kids in my high school band who were treated poorly and made fun of--not particularly because they play an instrument, but because they were 'different'. =/
wow that was intense. lol. Why size reed do you use?
