  • What a shameful piece of hollywood propaganda bullshit. Most people have no idea that 60,000,000 people died as a result of WW2. It wasnt a war fought to "exterminate jews" Jews simply caused that war just as they did WW1 and now WW3. In typical evil jew fashion, they now absurdly re-create themselves as heroic. lol. They are great masters of fiction. Do your homework America. For starters, study and learn about how not one person EVER was put into a "gas chamber". There was no such thing.

  • It's supposed to be part propaganda film, Captain Obvious. It's the art of the film. See, if you actually paid attention to it rather than being an absentminded, low attention span fuckface, maybe you'd know that Goebbels was involved in the German propaganda film industry and this fact contributed to the fictional story of the film. People went to this expecting to see "Nazis" get their heads bashed in, which they did, but then were introduced to the German version of Inglourious Basterds-

  • You clearly don't know too much about cinema or art. Otherwise, you would have understood the film. It's a work of genius. I mean, it's a "Dirty Dozen"/"Guns of the Navarone"/guys going on a mission WWII film about propaganda film, posing a propaganda film image, with some Nazisploitation elements, all paced and somewhat "orchestrated" as a spaghetti western. It's high art, and there's a reason why Tarantino fans as well as critics loved and still do love it. You're just not old enough for it.

  • The 1st scene in the house is fantastic, Col Landa remains happy and pleasant throughout but with an underlining 'fuck with me at your peril' presence.

I love the part where he smokes his pipe and congratulates mr ladpatite on his delicious milk - such an intense atmosphere done with a smile

    great scene - GREAT FILM!!!

  • I can't even picture Adam Sandler in this film. Glad he wasn't.

  • love the opinions, hate the people.

  • Great review, possibly the best I've seen. But both Michael fassbender and mike meyers put on accents - to be as "british" as possible. I thought mike meyers was hilarious with his over the top manners and phrases. I've seen it 3 times. It's the type of movie you just want to watch again. My favorite of the Tarantino films I've seen, by far.

  • Movie is great if you watch parts. All together it didn't hold up as a cohesive movie for me.

I found the chick's jewish revenge story line with the hero Nazi guy and all their movie talk really boring. It was my least favourite part of the movie.

the SS officer is the best character and performance barre none.

  • ok, great movie, great cast, great almost everything, but why does landa fall so easily for aldo at the end, that part there didnt convince me a bit... also why are there only two guards outside of the cinema where there are 4 of the most important persons of the german side of the war... i mean not convincing... i know its all fiction and everything but thats kind of dumb... 2 guards?! too easy

  • I agree. I thought Landa's breakdown at the end contradicted his earlier cunning persona...I thought that could have been handled differently.

  • @mrtony80 I think that was kind of the point. He seems all composed and cunning and then he just breaks the hell down.

  • The girl is totally hot!

  • Can anyone imagine Adam Sandler buffing up?

  • Mit Abstand die beste Rolle

  • The casting of the movie was great across the board, including Brad Pitt.

  • Whats with the distracting zoom focus cutting?

  • I think its funny as I said on imdb that when Brad is about to drink from his champagne the german soldiers just tackle him to the ground.

  • good movie but tht guy in th left wit glasses is fukin annoyin

  • UBER JEW... FTW!!!! lol

  • good review, but you guys were way off about Mike Meyers, he was great (IMO).

  • this is the kind of movie you cant watch on your computer in bad quality

you gotta see it on a large screen with great sound

  • @IdAnIsS I agree. I would kill a man to see Basterds in IMAX.

  • lol uber jew

  • these two need to go back to selling burgers at Miky D's.

  • the movie looks good but the hosts are just wroooong for movie reviews

  • what are you on about he was the best by miles

  • who brad? no no he wasn't the best Hans was the best character and the actor was the best, brad pitt plays himself pretty much in every role he is a good actor but in no way the best by any means

  • jews in holliwood.....u dream for it.....nazis fuck u up big time;so get use to it.....

  • this film is totally worth it

  • saw it onceand ive been dying to see it again

  • saw it 3 times and I cannot get enough

  • they didn't use the basterds as much as they should have.

  • I was having so much fun with Col. Landa, that I honestly forgot about the Basterds throughout much of it. Not that they weren't good, because they were great, too. It was all great.

  • love your review thanks !! ive seen it 5 times i love it its the best film ive seen in a long time just brilliant

  • no its not his finest. i loved it, i loved his characters his sequences, as always some of his shots were perfectly executed, i just felt, despite all that as a film, it was a little sloppy.

  • what in your opinion is he best movie?

  • I didnt like the movie to be honest... I dont even really know why, just bored me... the first 20 minutes or so was incredible though, i loved that, its just nothing seemed to happen quite so epic after.

  • I LOVED THIS FILM!

  • ....the bradd pitt's italian is horrible....i'm italian....i don't have understand what he have said in the cinema....non si capiva niente...xD

  • his italian was supposed to be bad... that was the joke...

  • Adam sandler would have destroyed this move im glad they got ELI ROTH!

  • wow.. spammers really put in some effort these days.

  • BEST MOVIE EVER!

  • he reminds me a lot of marlon brando in the godfather when he acts to be the italian

  • omg i havent watched this movie yet...i feel ashamed tht its soo good and i havent seen it

  • my fav Quentin movie has to be Pulp fiction, but this one is a close second place. Both are my favourite movies of all time as well ;D

  • It was worth seeing in the cinema because of the way it was shot, the characters were cool, Brad Pitt was fairly average. I liked how with the oriental format of Kill Bill there was more scope, but in here the template of the WWII film only worked in some places. The Gestapo guy was great and there were a few good tension building moments but apart from that it was fairly forgettable as a whole. Compared to Jackie Brown or Pulp Fiction it's nothing much at all.

  • this two really sucks

  • The girl I live with can't think of a movie released this year which she thought was more entertaining than Basterds.

While I think District 9 was a better film, personally, Inglourious Basterds would definitely be my second pick for the year.

I like movies that make you think. And while you really have to shut your mind off for some points of view with this film, it opens up the cinematographer side of my head to analysis and enjoy Inglourious Basterds as (as they say) Quentins' Finest.

  • yes god this is fantastic

  • that movie was HARDCORE SUSPENSE

  • Awesome movie! WATCH IT IF YOU HAVN'T!

  • i loved this movie sooooooooooooooo much! it was probably the best film of the summer to me

  • It probably was his best movie since Pulp fiction although I liked Kill bill very much too.

  • I loved this movie. It was long but it made sense to give the characters so much time for dialogue.

  • the movie was great the dialogue brilliantly written the characters extraordinarily well played....if i had 20 thumbs to put up i would. an overall great movie

  • "...loved Basterds more than any other Tarantino weve ever seen."

I didn't feel like that I like them all a whole bunch but this film is awesome.

  • Quentins' best movie since Pulp.

  • I saw it twice and will probably see it again. Hans Landa is by far one of the best movie villains of all time.

  • This movie was amazing I had never laughed so hard and been so utterly horrified at the same time. It was two and half hours it felt short. A truly fantastic movie that everyone should see.

  • The trailer didnt match the actual movie, false advertising i say! Minor Rockfist up

  • I loved every minute of this movie and plan on seeing it again as Im sure its going to get better on repeat viewings. All in all great film and easily one of the best films of the year!

  • I have to see it again. It's just too much movie to take in with one viewing
