@manofmusicx a big problem with minority and poor residents of a community smoking in their own home is because their lack of socio-economic status doesn't afford them the same access to private areas that those of higher socio-economic status do. Either from more compact living conditions, family pressures that conflict with social influences, or just the lack of access to resources that allow them the comfortable living situation in which one can smoke freely. Marijuana should be legalized. That being said, more minorities are arrested because they sell/use drugs in a more open manner than whites. They are more likely to "hustle" on street corners, while whites more often smoke in their parent's basements or some secluded backyard or suburban park, dorm, etc.

A lot of it probably has to do with dealing and smoking style. Blacks and other minorites are more likely to deal/smoke on the streets, while whites are more likely to deal/smoke it in their parent's basement, friend's houses, etc. That's only speaking from my direct observations so I can't really generalize across the country...but there's gotta be something to that.
