Yep, it was a great rivalry. I remember the Bruins coming over the glass here in Victoria to fight the fans behind their bench because someone had thrown a marble at Mclean ( on account of his glass eye, natch). I'm tryin to think of who would have been in net for the Cougars in this game-possibly Murray Bannerman ? He was always up for a brawl on top of being a great goalie.

Somebody (anybody!) get the Bart Hunter (Winter Hawks goalie) pretending he's blind incident up prompting Bruins' coach Punch McLean to throw a garbage can at him. Bets brawl ever I've seen live followed.

What a rivalry the Cougars and Bruins had. The games in the Victoria Memorial arena and Queen's Park were the best in the 1970's.
