Wow... that prep work looks horrible! Was that stainsolver that you used on that? Email me and I'll better direct you on how to prepare that deck properly before putting defy or any other stain on. Good Luck.
For most part the closer you try to get to a permenant coating solution for a deck the closer you get to having to replace the deck from being unable to easily remove such product experimenation.
Tim, some of my pressure washing 'brothers' ganged up on you on another video about harmful pressure washers. Now you have this video where you are staining a 'cleaned' deck. Firstly - if you had to broom that much material off, not to mention grinding the dirt back into the cracks with your shoe - you didn't clean the deck. That wood looks awful - and behind you it still looks green.
You would have gotten professional results with a pressure washer with a low pressure rinsing nozzle.
Yep, I knew that the lynch mob must have come from some forum. This video was shot in less than optimal conditions. The part that was stained *was* cleaned the day before. The rest of the porch was not sealed. This coming spring I am going to show the process from start to finish. I do appreciate your manners and professionalism.
You allow ads for Defy on the same web page where you gave it a glowing review. Isn't this a bit of a conflict of interest? At the very least, it will make thinking people distrust your motive for your glowing review of the product.
Great question. The answer is No. Why? Do newspapers and magazines accept ads for products they review? Yes. The bigger danger you face is from individuals who accept money to actually say in an ad, "This product is the best!" My column is simply reporting on actual experience, not some script or press release I regurgitated. I did not get paid by the manufacturer to write that or any column.
yer i think i saw one like this on utube or google but way to much for me a starter not even in full time work yet.... in $ the price range i would be more looking at would be at $200/300..E = £100/200 but in the US iv seen a nice dewalt C saw for about $80 sell it here for £300
agreed. dont know if you have done one but, what about tools and prices, meaning e.g table saw at £100 to one at £400... what you get xtra or do you even need to spend that much to get something just as good, in this one i know some of the cheaper ones are harder to get the fence thing stright, i see you use alot of Bosch tools, but here in the uk they are far cheap.
Six months ago at the Builders Show, Bosch showed a prototype of a portable table saw that was unbelievable. I think it is going to be for sale in a few months. Look for it. As for cost, I think it will be around $700 US.
dont know why people like them have to be so rude if they like better ones they could just say and there reason why. and at least listen ot watch it before getting there comments wrong
Other people on YouTube call those people "jealous, faceless haters". Some people are consumed by envy and jealousy. What amazes me is why don't they just make their own videos? They have YouTube accounts. Actions speak so much louder than words.
The first sentence of audio says the wood was cleaned. Only a small corner of that porch was cleaned and sealed for the actual video. The intent was just to introduce you to the product and show how easy it is applied.
I don't get paid a dime from that company for endorsing the product. It is a very good deck sealer. As for oxygen bleach, it is also a fantastic product. Can you satisfy everyone? Absolutely not. You are living proof. Both products come with a 100% Guarantee. Did you ask for a refund?

No. I would go to saver systems dot com. Sikkens also makes superb deck sealer.

The least you could do is clean the wood before you seal it, The crap is filthy. I would never use something like that as a promo video..

How much would you sell your soul for? That is the worst product and you pitch it for money. Same as your crappy roof cleaner.
