it costs 100 bucks so its not cheap BUT u can download a demo that doesnt run out but u cnt create executables until u buy the whole package

DarkBasic can easily do this also Blitz is a DirectX 7 tech so basicly the video your viewing most hte effects are faked isn't it impressive how well one can fake effects without a shader driven engine? :)

not really- the jsl environment is prolly wrapped in blitz- you can use blitz to load and compile commands and objects with blitz in dx9/10 if you plug in an external engine and include the libraries

i personaly prefer blitz3d it is fairly cheep, has dlls for C+ (SDK version) and is easy to learn. i had my first game engine with background, animated meshes collision ect running after only a week teaching myself. now its possible to put a game engine together in minuits. its not the fastest but it is stable and very easy to use
