lol that's pathetic. What many people fail to realize is that HK airsoft companies' guns are MADE IN CHINA. No airsoft guns are produced in Hong Kong. In fact, almost everything in Hong Kong is imported. Very few factories remain. It is just that Hong Kong companies just happen to have better quality control and demands, but you will find that Chinese companies are already coming very, very close in terms of quality, at a much cheaper price too.

becouse Hong Kong was owned by britian untill 1991 and when it was bought back by the chinese one of the problems was the law in HK was verry diferent from that of china. so as part of the deal the chinese agreed to give HK a degree of democracy not found anywhere else in china, HK is responsible for most of its own laws and how it is govorned.

umm ur wrong in a lot of aspects, first of all Hong Kong was a British colony and was handed back to Chinese sovereignty in 1997. Hong kong is now a SAR( Special Administrative Region) of China and has seperate laws and its own Chief Executive (although he is just a puppet) until 2047

I have been a member of the AS community for 8 yrs. I know the reasons why Chinese clones are cheaper, namely lack of a need for R&D, cheaper materials and poor QC

I own several TM guns. I also own a CYMA M14, and comparing it to the TM to the CYMA, I can say that internally, and in performance, the two are matched, and the CYMA might even have an edge, due to higher stock FPS

There is /some/ utter crap out from China, but it's undeniable that it changed the sport

Hey wassup man I have the Tokyo Marui l96 too! I live in the US so shipping was a high but I think its completely worth it cause the rifle feels very solid and made with high quality material. I put my real steel rifle scope on it and it shoots great. Do you plan to upgrade your gun and hows it shooting?

My L96 is still in the box, Not had time to unpack it & give it a go. Will fully upgrade to what is allowed on AS Sites here in Japan. Need a scope & Night Vision for it. Do not know what scope but. I have a TM VSR-10 Pro G Spec that I use at the moment (store upgraded) but it has a cheap scope so need to get a new one for that as well. I only buy TM at the moment. Waiting on TM to bring out a HK416/417

Nah, laws state that anything below 2.0 joules (465 fps), is legal for use, whilst anything over this power is to be classified as a firearm, and is illegal.

Due to the small land space in Hong Kong, more and more indoor CQB sites have popped up in the last year or 2. The average games within are of 1.0~1.2j (320~350fps), and on S/A.

Similar concepts already existed, know as SCS and LRB (Spin Control System and Long Range Barrels), but it was Marui who coined the name Hop-Up that we know today, and they did crate what was to become the standard of inner barrel/hopup bucking interfaces. At least in AEG's.
