To those who think this was staged: Many violinists could easily play that by ear. Many more have likely played it before just for fun. With how good this guy is from his earlier playing, I'd say he could have played it by ear - it just takes starting at the right note, which means he's just got very good pitch. It's not unfathomable, it's just that you probably don't know any really good violinists personally. XD

If you think so little of the performer and leave you phone on, then you should not be attending the performance.
