@olivia4490 Under very special circumstances they probably could be returned to the wild but I think it's primarily for conservation like the breeding programs for animals like pandas and the Amur Leopard. Hopefully eventually they will find a way to safely release such animals into the wild and be sure that they'll be able to survive on their own.
