I dont see the point of paying when i just call orange and they give me my mep for free? then again they do cost a call fee of 25p to talk to there representatives to get the code, but its still cheaper than most of these websites and you don't require a credit card either. if your on orange uk and reading this, and want to unlock your curve 8520 or any orange blackberry, call 450 then click 2 then click 4 and ask the "woman on the phone" for the MEP code! not that hard!

Hey Guys, I have the same blackberry and on one website I got 5 different codes, from which 1 was supposed to unlock my blackberry I tried them but after 8 trials, I decided, that it was too risky to try the last 2 codes again, so I contacted the company and they reembursed the money, can you guarantee, that the code that I pay fore will unlock my device, give all the date ( IMEI and MEP and unlock code ) is entered correctly , and do I only get a SINGLE code or Multiple codes ?

@thea4344 Hi. Yes, unlocking without MEP is not possible in these days because you will end up with too many codes and you might permanently block your phone. If you use IMEI & MEP your will get only 1x MEP2 code and 1x MEP4 code. For network unlock you need to type MEP2 and for service provider MEP4. Most of phones is locked to network only not service provider.

Instructions for unlocking Blackberry Curve 8520

Warning! The Wireless Mode MUST BE OFF before performing the given SIM Unlock instructions in order to avoid causing the device from becoming defective.

How to turn Wireless Mode Off:

1. Scroll to the Airplane Icon (Turn Wireless Off.)

2. Press Select.

3. Wireless Mode will turn off.

How to SIM Unlock the device:

2. Select the "SIM Card" option

3. Type ALT-MEPD (hold ALT key while typing the 4 Letters, M-E-P-D)

4. Release the ALT key; it should then display a list "SIM, Network, Network Subset, etc..."

5. To select "Network" type ALT-MEPE (since E is the Key that gives 2 when shifted)

6. Release the ALT key, it should then ask for the code

7. Enter the unlock code provided.

9. Your phone is now unlocked.
