I was driving my 2009 Cadillac CTS last night and decided to turn on the XM radio the 'Groove' station and the Brothers Johnson "Strawberry letter 22" was jamming. I was "buggin". Then it went off. Then a low volume of this jam was phasing in. I was like "this is not what I think it is"....I almost lost control of the car on the Jersey icey streets. I pushed the Bose up louder than I have ever in a car. WOW....Yes!! I pulled over to seat dance. Got home and Googled it. Awesome.

Little did I know, but the lyrics to this song didn't paint such a pretty picture for whoever may have been going through this ordeal or anything close to it. Let's pray for victims of, or in this type of situation thats portrayed in this song. Love this song! It Got less airplay than "mama used to say", but that's what makes a song a real hidden gem! Brings back memories of the early summer in 82 riding ithe NYC subways to Brooklyn on the D train to Coney and the A train To Rockaway Beach. Remember when you had those boom boxes playing on the subway platforms or the subway cars as you got closer to the last stop on the beach! Thanks for putting it here!
