I want my 2 years of staying usa to end quickly LOL I need to go back to Tokyo T_T nothing to do in the town i live in usa.... only farmland lol I want to go back to my home countryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and you are all welcome to visit lol 早く戻りたいよー
The commuter rail network of Tokyo is INSANE!!! After 3 months of learning the confusing pattern shifts in my head I still almost got lost several times. Good that at least one line isn't that bad.
This takes me back; hearing those melodies again really brings back fond memories of Japan. I was on the verge of crying; I thought I’ll never hear these melodies again.
After listening to these melodies I feel like I’m in Tokyo, standing on the Yamanote line platform.
I really want to be in Japan right now. I miss Japan so much!
/cry I miss Japan.! You guys are right. It does bring back memories. This just makes me miss it more!!! I cried when i had to leave Japan; I didn't want to go back home!!
Sometimes I watch these videos to relax and to remind me of being back in Japan. It encourages me to do what I can to return for a longer period of time.
Thanks for uploading. Like you said, mundane scenes seem to be treasured the most.
Oh, same here got back from Tokyo on Monday june 8th. I stayed at Shinagawa for 40 days. I wish we had a Yamanote JR Line in Phoenix. Going back soon...
Just got back from Tokyo this morning. Is it lame that I'm watching this and already missing it?
I miss hearing all the names of the stops.. Uguisudani, Ikebukuro, Takadanobaba, Komagome (where they played the Sakura themed chime).. Tokyo is so amazing. I can't wait to go back!
aww....I really miss taking the yamanote line. I took everyday from my station. I loved the lines that are one the platform to indicate the doors of the train and where one should wait.
When the chorus ends thats the time the doors close in preparation to depart. I can't hear this music so I have to be quick when I board the Yamanote line!
Yes, I agree. The railway system in Japan is excellent. I also have very good experience on taking railway in Japan which gives me lots of good memories (including the people I've met in the trains and the stations). But I also may want to point out that in North America, people drive a lot and they take flights for long distance travels. That's why the railway systems in there are not fully developed. That is, the living styles are not the same.
Its like I'm really there in that station. I love Tokyos train station. I like the music they play as a warning for passengers for the train door to close.
Commuter trains. In Japan (and in much of East Asia, e.g. Hong Kong) there's not much difference in design between commuter trains and subways. Commuter trains are usually just a longer version of subway trains!

From the speed it has attained by the time it leaves the platform this train appears to have an amazing rate of acceleration.

Forget the bullet train, forget shinjuku, forget Roppongi... nothing is more Tokyo-ish than the yamanote line.

I love these yamanote cars. The announcement song, the sound of the train. the interior, the green tinted glasses, the lcd screens, etc.

Tokyo Station is so BUSY !!!!
Every time, no matter day or night, peoples are walking like they are in the rush.....
Huge station too.... I remember had to walk more then five minutes to reach other platform (the one goes to Disneland)

if you think tokyo is busy try visiting shinjuku or shibuya some time, ah and do it on a friday evening just to be safe..!

I am curious how cost Level 3 IGBT in E231 Trains. I guess it is expensive.

I seriously like Yamanote Line VVVF Sound better than others... Sobu E231 serious has similar one but the sound gets cut off when train stops

I was there just two days ago and rode the Yamanote line. There is very little difference between peak and off-peak in Tokyo

are those train commuter rails or subways, they look like the 75 foot NYC subway trains in new york?
