  • i heard~ DOHTA(dota) KONG! lalalalala!!!

    "Jackie".

  • great tutorials. but one thing.. i use thinner to thin down acrylic paint for the panel lines... then i clean the excess with thinner on a cotton but like you do... but then the paint i spray on before also rubbed off... how can i avoid that? thanks in advance =D

  • @forgen88

The acrylic thinner used for the panel lines is dangerous over the acrylic paint, instead the Enamel paint (that I have used for the base) hasn't any problem.

Anyway the better choice is to spray a glossy transparent varnish in order to protect the part, previously of this operation. Thanks, bye!

  • wow ive seen girls making gundams. that's good!

  • she looks like girl..

  • Yes, I'm a girl ("Jackie") and share this channel with my brother ("SchumyGo"). ^^

  • EPIC song!?!?

  • Why? Who has said that the song is epic? No, it is on purpose funny and joky. ;)

  • wat kind of paint u use and wat is the paint brush call

  • For this wash tecnique: acrylic black color (lifecolor) and tamiya brush.

Below surface, for the whole kit, we use enamel paints (humbrol) with airbrush.

  • i like the song

  • well you know man people do alot of reviews, even though they arnt so good because it helps there english alot when you practice with small things.

  • Yes, but for a quick adaptation and convenience, sorry, only music background or spoken Italian.

  • She's a lady... Sorry, if I'm wrong...

  • I think it would be more helpful if you talked during the video saying what you are doing, since its hard to really remember all this with just a visual.

  • Sorry, but my English is not so good...

Otherwise Do you understand the Italian speech? ^^"

However, it is a more inconvenient work because when the video need some cutting, many words could be broken.

  • use subtitles dumbass

  • So what exactly is a paint marker? Is it basically the same as normal paint?

  • I don't exactly know, but directly on the plastics and only for the details the markers work, but they could slip with difficulty on a painted surface by you and they are not cleaned only with the acohol, the Gundam Marker Remover is necessary. Besides the rigid tip doesn't always go in all the parts; instead the acrylic black used for capillarity doesn't have any problem. It is also however matter of taste, test both the techniques and then you choose.

  • Isn't using a Gundam Marker the same effect?

  • Not really, above all on a surface already painted.

  • i can get the varnish at any crafts store?

  • I think yes.

However, you can also find the spray cans in any shop of modelling supplies (classic modelling, wargame modelling or similar).

  • lets say i make a mistake while panel lining with gundam markers, some people tell me i could use a cotton swab or an eraser, does it really work, and thanks for da help

  • Yes, it is right. But before to make the panel lines, spray a transparent varnish to protect the model. So, when you use a cotton swab with a bit alcohol, there isn't any danger for the basic color.

  • so where could u get these gundam markers?

  • Where you buy gundam kit or some shop (above all online) of modeling supplies. Try to search on google writing "gundam marker buy" and you will find a lot of links. ;)

  • hi, im new to painting gunpla and i have some questions:1) can i use acrylic paints? 2) what does the thinner do? 3) how do i apply the thinner to the paint? thanks =]

  • Hi. Sure! You can also use the acrylic paints.

For the thinner, it depends by the kind of acrylic, it could be water, alcohol or the acrylic thinner provided by the same brand of the colors. In order to mix the thinner with the color, you can do it in the airbrush cup (or in an any bowl if you use only brushes). For the density the proportion could be 50% of color and 50%-70% of thinner, but it always depends by the usage and the kind of color.

  • What should I use to fill in the panel lines? I'm not very good with paints, so doing this is out of the question, and the pencil panel liner doesn't make it dark enough to look nice.

    Suggestions?

  • If you don't want to use the black acrylic color very diluted, you could try to use the Gundam Markers or a Indian ink pen with very thin point.

  • Sorry, I have lost your second message.

Anyway...Yes, there are different types of Gundam Marker. Take also pencil of 0.1 and 0.2 mm. Bye. ;)

  • is that pink liquid lighter fuel?

  • The pink liquid is alcohol, the thinner for the black acrylic color. ;)

  • Hmm,i have a qns..i used air brushing method to paint my model kits..Then i used gundam extra fine tip marker to fill in the panel lines..But i accidently made a mistake by painting out of the line..What can i do?

  • Try to correct it with a small brush.

However my advice: before making the panel lines, you protect the model with a transparent varnish, so if you make a mistake, you can try to quickly clean without damage for the basic color.

  • ok..thank you.=)

  • what kind of paint do you use to paint your gundam?

  • Humbrol enamels. ;)

  • where can we buy it?

  • Where you live you there isn't any modellism shop?

By the way, You can also search on ebay

I have tried the ebay european seller called plastikus-de

Otherwise write on google Humbrol Enamel and you will find several shop online. ;)

  • we have modelsm shop here thanks

  • You are welcome! Great! :)

  • Hi ZOHtube, great work. Just a question, when u were dabbing the alcohol to clean the lines up, how much does it effect the hand that's already been painted?

  • Hi. :) In the italian Tutorial section (wrote in our web site), all passages are explained better, sorry for the quick video. The alcohol is dangerous over the acrylic paint, instead the enamel paints are harder.

Anyway the better choice is to spray a transparent varnish in order to protect the part, previously of this operation.

    Thanks, bye! ;)

  • I love the song! xD

  • Yes, It is very funny! ^_^
