@poetlocked Haha, isn't it great? This is the only good live performance of this song on youtube! He only plays this song on request. The other time someone requested it he had forgotten how to play it and messed up the end, but this time he got it right. I feel so lucky to have been there when he played it. It's a gorgeous song, by far my favorite of his.
His Art of Motion performance was also amazing that night! It was my favorite version of Art of Motion I've seen. Such a great night.
I could've sworn I already responded to this comment... but I don't see it here so I'll do it again! All of Andy's songs are in alternate tunings. This one is EBDGBD with a partial capo on strings 2-6 (leaving only the 1st string un-capo'd)
Man I find Andy to be just a genius on guitar. I knew he was talented, but some of the tunings he does I wouldn't normally think of, and I never knew he partially capo'd sometimes, I find that a fascinating idea and am almost surprised I've never thought of it, haha
It was a great show because it was such a small venue. There couldn't have been more than 40 people in the audience. I miss him this year, but I hope he'll come around again soon. I'd love to film another show.
nothing compared to keys to a hovercar. wow, ive been playing for 25 years that tune, is rocking., i play most of his stuff, but i ant got the same KEYS. lol
@Stophocles This is actually one of my favorites by him to tell you the truth. This song is highly underrated. The first time I ever heard it was on my headphones while I was backpacking so everytime I hear this it brings back memories of sleeping in a pine forest next to the fire.
That guitar sounds incredible; such a deep; warm; smooth tone.

@Rael0505 Technically, Heather's Song is in standard, but it's played on a baritone guitar. :P
