Although SRV will always be my favorite, I couldn't list the number of great blues musicians I have checked out....and have the utmost respect for all of them...

I think that had he lived, Jimi would have gotten into gospel music - that is AFTER a few years in jazz, fusion, funk, experimental, etc. etc. Jimi always played from the heart - you were getting a window into an incredibly "human" member of the human race.

@MyFunnyStuff1111 Well, first of all, it's the blues, your not supposed to focus on the lyrics, it's instrument oriented. And beside, it's not like modern music has better lyrics. Rap lyrics are just guys talking about how many girls they get and how much drugs they do. Most of today's music is about sex. I'd like to see you try and write a song. Hendrix had more talent then you, your children, your grandchildren, and everybody else after that will ever have.
