Milk is one of my favourites of 2008 for sure! Sean Penn did a pretty good job IMO, deffo worth a nomination. I love Emile Hirsch also. He is incredible in pretty much everything he does and he is for sure one of my favourite actors.
I do think there could have been more background to the characters, spesh in terms of Jack ... he kinda just appeared out of nowhere without any explanation. But apart from that I can't really fault this film.
The ending made me cry ... alot!

It was great. I like the whistle scene and how they had reflection shots throughout the movie.

Big fan of P S Hoffman as well. Loved Synecdoche New York and looking forward to seeing Doubt.
Totally agree on how ridiculous prop 8 sounds and it's not even 30 years in the past.
I'm going to see Milk tonight.
