  • mijn vader heeft jaren voor spliethoff gevaren. prachtig om te zien wat hij zag.

  • ... And what´s the name of the song?

  • @rottpung This is onboard ships of the s-type from the company Spliethoff.

And the song is called 'viva', but don't remember the group.

  • What´s the name of the vessel this video is taken from?

  • To everybody who is moaning about the Cabins. I heard verry possitive stories from someone who worked at Spliethoff and some kadets. (and that includes social life) Maybe small cabins become a problem when you get old and grey.

    Thanks for the great video!

  • they dont have a sewage tank. its a big problem during long port stay.

  • @alphatect the older russion navy vessels do not have either.

  • Was on Spuigracht on Sunday to unload my boat. I design warships, I was impressed.

  • If you like big accomodation, start sealing on a cruisliner. This ship are build for cargo and not for passengers

  • i just care about social life and facilities on board. but, you care about the money only.

its about your view of life.

  • I made my career in Spliethoff from 2nd off. to Captain, and now working ashore in Ship Management. I do miss the sailing with the S-types when I see this again....They are great ships to work with.

  • @ahbol80

Good day. I work for the agency in Brisbane looking after Spliethoff and an S type rarely calls Brisbane (4 -5 vessels a year).

S Types are one of a kind and good vessels to work with.

  • spliethoff vessels designed for cargoes only. No any facilities for crew, very small cabins... You can see this from the difference between NRT and GRT, its very small.

But, perfect for general cargo handling.

  • Alphatect must be one of the Russian fuckers who expect a ballroom as a cabin.

I think the cabins are large enough, any bigger is a waist of time to clean. And furthermore, if you integrate with the rest of the crew you need your cabin only to sleep.

But what is true is that the difference between NRT and GRT causes small accomodations, sometimes it looks that the just found a spot to fit something what looks like an accomodation, combination of accomodation, staircase, FFB-rig, chimney....

  • They are Cargo vessels, not passenger vessels. Crew facilities are up to all modern standards on those vessels. If you want to be pampered, you have to go to a hotel.

  • The correct word is "compilation"... It's not so complicated...

  • nice movie but what's the name of the song? I like the melodie =P

  • Hi
