over 8000, the stock rods can break like nothing, your really pushing the motor, if it ever fails, i have a stock 3 rib block, with crank, rods and 50 over pistons.

lol that's nothing man. I have a 5 speed 88 Honda Prelude Si that I put a b18a5 j-spec in and it does 110 in 3rd gear at 6,000 rpm's. Wish I had some video's to show but sorry I don't. It has a top speed of 148mph that I use do daily on the interstate daily as I went to work. I did this for 8 years never once got a ticket. Then in West Virginia going through the Big Walker Mtn tunnel I got a ticket for 145 in a 55mph. Impounded car and fined me 7k. Took permit now for 3 years.Oh well still drive

@20vTony1 why do you want to make your car rev over 11k... Your not gona get that much more power and your running the risk of fucking your engine doing it, but yeah if you really want to do it i'd say a after market ECU and a good tune should do it

the box attached to the top of my cluster bezel shows rpm up to 12,000rpm in digital format.

i wanted to retain factory look and feel.

You cant put RWD trans in a FWD car. But you should be able to scrounge a FWD 4age engine and trans plus engine wiring loom/ecu from a ae82 fwd or ae92 fwd corolla of a scrapyard for a cheap penny.

and for what its worth, 4th gear in a corolla doesn't go past 100mph because its rev limited to 7,500rpm.

272 8.5mm lift. the 20v engine can take 8.5mm lift no problem without upgrading the valve springs.

i tuned the motor, it runs flawlessly, and gets 29mpg. :-)

i have never checked 1/4 mile with my car. i am guessing 14.2? as is i can itch past a honda integra gsr with bolt ons in the quarter mile. any farther than a quarter mile and the honda's gearing will surpass me.
