It is a 1976 Tahiti, 17 ft.. great boat.. still on my list of boats to restore..

i think i see the problem.....

The reason it's running better because the engine has been decarboned, people used to use water to clean internal of the engine by spraying misty water into the intake while the engine is running to clean the carbon out etc

it has a very low stern, if the wind and waves come up consistantly from the rear it will slowly but surely sink.
