I know this book will probably be disappointing. I am hoping it isn't but I just have a feeling. I've read all the books many times over and am still really looking forward to this one but I'm not setting my expectations too high. Not to say he isn't a good author. I love him but sequels tend to kind of suck. Especially to a series so loved and followed.
For any of you guys who hasn't read the books you should they're really good I'm on confessor now and its really interesting. Check out my channel for sword of truth lego videos coming soon
hi.. i've read the 1st two books of SOT.. & now in page 200 of Blood of the Fold.
i enjoyed Wizard's first rule a lot, Stone of Tears was too gory & violent
but this Blood of the Fold -till now- is too slow?! many pages contain nothing but paragraphs to fill the blanks with no content...? shd i continue reading, or will i get more disappointed? what about the the remaining books?
@Kamikilla419 thanx a lot for ur concern & advice ;) i finished Blood of the Fold.. and it really was a wonderful book -after page 400 that is!- and am reading temple of the wind now, but still in the 1st few pages.. am defenitly gona continue.. till the omen machine next year!
Blood of the Fold was the first book to really introduce political conflict into the series. Yes it is in a since "slow" at the start but it really pics up at the end and has a few good twists.
i have read the series 3 times and still love it, cant wait for the omen machine, the next adventure for richard, kahlan and zed, the read up on it sounds great, will be out 2011. cant wait.
At 1:16, when the camera pans right to the farthest point, you can just see a second tower, so I think that these are telephone or power poles. These would seem to indicate that this scene is in our world and time...well, more or less (see my earlier comment).
Considering what the wizards were talking about in the end of the last book, this has probably something to do with world nr 2. Plus, I'm pretty sure they'll have a kid. That's the only dilemma they hadn't solved yet.
I see Kahlan i think with her hands above her head and that means she is calling the con dar and that is only possible when there is something wrong with richard
i see kahlan with her fists above her head so that means she is in the con dar mode so ther is something wrong with richard, I honstly think he is missing or dead beacause of the bloodshed
A (probably male) hand opens a printed Bible. If it deals with R & K, this must be completely symbolic; otherwise, it must be a part of the LoN world.
The men could either be fighting or sparring.
The first figure is greeting the sun against spatters of blood. Shota? Nicci? Or, perhaps a child of either sex (R/K's child). The burning eye suggests con dar.
The scene of the running horses was shot at Bethells Beach, New Zealand, with its distinctive headland in the background. This could be a shout out to LotS, as much of the location filming was done there.
As she music shifts from openly dramatic to atmospheric, a lone rider heads off slowly into the distance. He appears to be robed, and the scene may signify great change. Zedd? Nathan?
The red-haired woman seems to have some importance. Her earrings and blouse appear to be from our time; additionally there seems to be a power tower or repeater tower in the distance (together with a dust cloud), which would fix the scene in our world and time.
If so, she could not be Jennsen; neither could she be Jax (blonde) nor Helen (sandy-haired). As the wardrobe seems a bit outdated, perhaps this is Mrs. Ben Rahl, circa 1970, somewhere near Orden, Nebraska.
Is the woman thinking of the battling men, or is she only inadvertently connected to them? The blood spilling can symbolize both the genetic bloodline of the Rahls and the carnage that will engulf the family because of it.
13? what? what is the other Richard and Kahlan book?
i've read:
Wizards first rule, sword of truth, blood of the fold, temple of the winds, soul of the fire, faith of the fallen, pillars of creation, chainfire, phantom, confessor, debt of bones.....what else? law of nines, i thought was different to R&K??...
...CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THIS NEW BOOK :) since LotS ended :'( my life has been a disaster, but book!R&K sound good to me, for a week, whilst i read it ...then you will have to bring out another 10 books :)
@ApprenticeFilms yeah i read them too xD don;t know why i missed them out? lol, i think i got confused for Stone with the Sword :) hehe, yeah i know, i got caught in the moment of writing all the sword of truth books down, i accidently wrote that instead of Stone of Tears :) hehe
@RichardKaylan Terry has 13 books published, it doesn't say 13 Richard & Kahlan books. Terry's books are: Wizard's First Rule, Stone of Tears, Blood of the Fold, Temple of the Winds, Soul of the Fire, Faith of the Fallen, Pillars of Creation, Naked Empire, Debt of Bones, Chainfire, Phantom, Confessor and Law of Nines. Not to give a spoiler to those who haven't read Law of Nines but it does "reference" the Sword of Truth in some ways.
Do you people even read the text in the video or the description under it? It's a promo video for Terry's next Sword of Truth book. It's also packed full of little clues about the new book for us to pick up on and follow. It is my understanding that none of the figures in this video directly represent Richard, Kahlan, or any of Terry's other characters but don't quote me on that. It's a symbolic scavenger hunt.
