How to hot swap

Okay, i have seen just a couple hot-swap Xbox tutorials....both were CoD WaW using retail and burned games. What if you put in another game? Say you put CoD WaW retail in and then swap it with Halo (just using as example)...will it install it as WaW or will it show as Halo 3?...

Couple questions... can you do this without installing to the harddrive.. i can see why not because I own a JTAG and understand all the patches and ect... and what exacting is hot swapping? aand why do you have to change disks and not just have the iso in first? does it not show download to HDD? thanks

If your JTAG nand is flashed do you have to hot swap? for my WaW Iso disk...wanting to hot swap but do i need to if its flashed?

@MADMAN123412341234 you dont need to hotswap if its flashed or jtaged because a Jtag/flashed is modded to read and accept iso disks. hotswapping is needed on unflashed/jtaged xboxs to trick the system into thinking its still reading off the retail disk when its really reading off the modded iso disk. iso disks will run on flashed/jtag because they have a modded consol overall or the drive is modded. this is how pirated games can be played on flashed/jtaged and not on hotswap.

Uhh to hotswap? No. Atleast before the newest update for Kinect, the NXE dashboard I know it didnt have to be flashed.

@Spoklohoma yeah i think they patched flashing the xbox to so all of our fun is over. i tryed hotswapping and my freinds flashed xbox wont play the modded disks and i always get unreadable error when i try to hotswap

@JupiterMoDz After the new Update What you gotta do is Go offline like disconnect your internet cord. And Go to System Settings Memory and Clear the system cache. Then When you go the install to hard drive menu. Load Install the regular game until it gets to one percent. Then switch it with the modded disk no longer than 3 seconds. then it should install. Hope This Helps

Actually I just checked my drive, and I actually think its a Ben-q according to the picture I looked at, So that also proves, you have to open your Xbox no matter what. But I honestly Don't know, IS your disc scratched though? And are you referring to the modded disc, or the retail disc?

No, It has to be opened unless you have a Ben-Q drive. If your Lasers broken you can't really hot swap cause you need the laser for it to read the disc.

Try cleaning your disc, and if all else fails, you made a coaster, and you will have to try again. Sorry man.

Because majority of games are over 4.7gb, I believe WaW was easily over 6gb. Dual layer's are about $3.00 or so each at my local Bestbuy, but it has to be dual unless you have some other disc thats bigger than 4.7gb, I believe 4.7gb is standard about on Regular Discs.

I did notice that if you wait to long, it will stop spinning, and when you go to install it will say Disc Unreadable, so you should try hot swapping within a couple seconds.

Very low, unless you make it clear, and put it into your bio and say you mod and so on, I read posts about people doing this for long times and nothing happening to them, So I think your all good.

If you have the same disc drive as me, what you do is push down on the magnet, and then try twisting it, and that's what worked for me.
