  • Aldunamesaretaken I think you got it wrong about the snow in Dublin .

    Happy Christmas.

  • It's not Christmas til we see this ad! Love it!

  • I think the initial idiotic comments were about the ad being named northern ireland advert and people trying to say it's not Belfast in it. It's an all Ireland advert shown every christmas on channels on both sides of the border, like Rte and UTV [Ulster TV]. It's also based on James Joyce's Dubliners [The Dead] talking about the snow landing generally across ALL of Ireland, on the Bog of Allen, "on the living and the dead". Just my response to the nay-sayers and the Free Staters.

  • ha like it ever snows like that in dublin good ad tho

  • its amazing how its all the alcohol companies that have the best christmas ads !!!

  • I love this - the feeling of warmth you get from watching this ad is amazing!! Can't believe it's only 6 weeks to Christmas!!

  • Amazin :) I love seein this on around christmas time is so boootiful ='D

Awh now i wish it was christmas :)

    x

  • theis is like the beat add ever made should be played every christmass in ireland

  • can anyone help. I want a print of the City hall scene does anyone know where i can get it. Thanks

  • the best way to judge this is download a pic of both Dublin & Belfast City halls (suggest Google images) you will note that the dome on Dublins is quite low i reference to the front facade, whereas Belfast is quite high. I think his clearly shows that it was BELFAST. This is not about point scoring, just fact

  • hahahahaha that's Leinster House yiz shower of ding-dongs!

City Hall doesn't have such a high dome and as for Belfast..............MORON!

    Anyways Happy Christmas

  • where was i going in saying custom hse i was thinking of the start of add no its deffo city hall in dublin just more dressed up

  • its the custom hse in dublin also known as city hall. kinda obvious really, who was the person who thought it was belfast??? bring him before me till i slap him with a wet cod

  • Its city hall BELFAST -as confirmed by Guinness themselves. get over it

  • Was just convinced it was city Hall in Dublin *blushing* I walk down Parliament St every day going to work .......anyhow deep breath!!!!

Now where did I leave my pint of Guinness ;-))

  • It is indeed Belfast City Hall. For definite. No doubt.

  • Omg just please enjoy the advert.

Two main things..guinness and christmas..that is all x

  • This ad has nothing to do with Northern Ireland. No disrespect to any Northerns out there. Somebody mentioned that Belfast City Hall is in the ad. It's NOT. City hall in Dublin is and the view of it is from Parliament Street. the only other city that appears in the ad is Galway (a view of the boat bobbing up and down at the Claddagh)!

  • just looked at a photo of belfast city hall and a photo of dublin city hall on wiki and paused the add on the image of the one in belfast ,it definitly looks like belfast in the add.see what you think

  • @SuperClint007 It is Belfast Lol sure you knew.

  • Tigerlillys original title to this clip was christmas advert from northern Ireland which was changed soon after I corrected their mistake.

  • Suck me wanker :)

  • It isn't a northern Ireland guinness ad it's the republic of Ireland. Guinness was brewed in st Jamses gate Dublin up to last year. Thats the gate to the brewery in the ad. The statue is of Molly Malone who was from Dublin.

  • Who said it was? Its played here in the north too. Cant beat good o'l Dublin tho it is the home of Guinness and there is nothing like a cold one from the tap in a pub there. It dosnt have as much preservatives in it as it dosnt have to travel far.

  • Its an all-Ireland advertisment...afterall it shows Belfast City Hall in it. Why the stress?

Great Ad...always says Christmas is here.

  • This is NOT Belfast City Hall. It's City Hall in DUBLIN!!! The view of it is from Parliment Street. Get your facts correct!

  • This IS Belfast City Hall - it was on Ray Darcys Today FM 'Fix It Friday' show last year and Guinnes confirmed that it was indeed Belfast. Compare the image in the Guiness ad with one of Belfast City Hall and Dublin City Hall. For a start Parliament street is alot narrower than the one in the ad, also City Hall in Dublin doesnt have a balistrude portico on it while Belfast City Hall does.

Now chill out...they are Irelands two largest cities why shouldnt they be shown on the Chritmas ad.

  • Sorry Pilgrim but it is BELFAST, I checked this out with Guinness and they cofirmed it

  • @HomeMadeCoddle It's not, I live in Belfast, that is Donegall Place looking up towards the front of Belfast City Hall. I wouldn't tell a Belfast man that was Dublin city hall, he'd laugh.

  • first 2008

    merry Christmas.
