Play any mods for this game? Much better than Vanilla. I don't use EyeFinity though.. i use Nvidi's 3d vision.. how ever i have only gotten it to stretch across 2 Screens. The Bf2 mod Project Reality looks AWESOME @ 5760x1200
what is everyones favored weapon? i love a rpg myself. it is simple to be able to wipe out almost everyone with it! my roommate calls me a newbie for making use of it however who cares. i am kinda different i guess! but at least i didnt be forced to pay for the game. i down loaded it totally free on mw2forfreeZinfo (replace Z with . ) last week
I do think the f2000 is the better weapon in cod5. i without a doubt love search and destroy with this particular gun. i really clear the opposing base and next blow these folks away while i make use of this gun! everyone acquired the most recent map pack now? its wonderful i have only just down loaded it on mw2forfreeYinfo (replace Y with . ) the other week myself
ezrawwedp have you ever played with eyefinity because if you havnt i sudgest you do i have a 27 " widescreen gaming monitor and decided to try eyefinity with triple 24" mons and there is no comparison eyefinity wins hands down
@ezrawwedp because the point of eyefinity isnt to just make your screen larger. it actually gives you a much wider field of view, and gives the feeling of peripheral vision.
@lankuzo The gun and stuff ingame are not stretched its actually displaying more on each side the UI and menu are stretched out by the looks of things.
So is this BF2 1.41 or 1.50? In addition, did you have to use any specific command line parameters or config alterations?
I have three XHD3000 (Gateway's 30" ers), but have not been able to get BF2 1.50 to work at 7680x1600 in Win7 64 with Eyefinity. Just looking for some help. Thanks up front.
@Frraksurred BF2 1.50 is the first version of BF2 with proper widescreen support. Earlier patch versions need third-party hack to set the proper FOV (field of view) setting for widescreen resolutions.
@saivert Appreciate the reply. I used those hacks prior to 1.50. However, as I understand it BF2, even with 1.50, will only properly stretch over two screens (Based on DopeFish's "Widescreen Fixer 1.32) and is stretched disproportionately over three (game limitation). This looks to be the case in this video. I was just curious if the poster did anything special to get his copy to work with Eyefinity. Thanks again for the help.
Looks fantastic, but it looks like the field of view is the same as just having it on one screen. I could be wrong - but it would be nice to have the map and whole hud on the center screen, and have the side screens just be peripheral.
@Kteln Yes, the FOV is wrong. also huds stretch out. The game would need a patch to fix support for Eyefinity (or other multimonitor setups like Matrox or just several videocards).
u use diferent screens?

Wow wake island is epic, te minimap looks stretched or is that just me? Hope you make a bf3 one :)
NiTr091 5 months ago
@NiTr091 BF2 doesn't support 'proper' widescreen (it's old). HUD etc. will be stretched.
Also, you actually see LESS using widescreen resolutions in BF2 since the game cuts off the top and bottom of the image, unlike most games today.

why not just get a 30" monitor and use it I think multiple monitors are pointless :/

@ezrawwedp well thats true but a 30" monitor is not surround.. its just big.

Badly stretched. Useless.

it does look like the normal view just stretched over 3 screens. Look at the map its stretched loads. Not convinced this is really worth it
lankuzo 2 years ago 3
@lankuzo It's only on BF2 doesn't support widescreen, so you have to place it in your config.

Nice but still looks like a typical one screen stretched out to three. Given that you get about 2-3 inches more though.
