When I read the book in english, I didn't like the old servant who ia screaming and yelling because of disrespect to him for being assigned to pick up Miss LinDiYu. Now I realized, in chinese, that he is also upset with the opulent spending of the younger generation.
There is no such a scenario that "the old servant was assigned to pick up Lin" in the novel. It was just created in the adaption screenplay for obvious convenient reason.
dream of red chambers is one of my favourite chinese classics; A true reflection of the harsh realities in life during those ancient times :( thanks for uploading... :D

好看!至今我已返看了不下百次之多!以今天的現代人來說,絕對拍不出如此好看的電影,因為今天的現代人,不但缺乏文化修養,做事只求急功近利,看今天的電影,看今天的時代曲,沒有文化,沒有內涵,沒有深度就可知道!

我曾經看過一篇影評說,林青霞五官分開,有點男相,李翰祥導演可沒選錯,林青霞演男角迷倒眾生,原因在此,無論高度.美貎.氣質.林青霞張艾嘉都很相配,是一對完美的配搭!

【金玉良緣紅樓夢】是我最喜歡的一部紅樓夢,至今返看了不下一百次,李翰祥導演沒選錯人,姑勿論劇本角色如何,無可否認一個事實,林青霞,張艾嘉是很完美的一對,兩個都年青貌美,高度適中,俏皮可愛,看園中二人鬥氣的一幕就可感受得到,真令人百看不厭!永世難忘!
