Loved this quote, had never thought of it used in your context but it's all the better for that. Everyone should be allowed to be who they are, it's a basic right surely and i think that it's wrong to treat it like a privilege by those who can help you. No one has the right to decide who you are, inside or out except yourself -who knows you better? It just sucks that we have to jump through so many hoops just to get to NORMAL. So few people get that. Genetic guys in particular have so much trouble with TG girls. I think the best way to describe the frustration we feel pre transition is to say to them "how would you feel if you were hetersexual yet the only people you could date were other men?" That usually puts things in perspective for them. In any case the age for HRT should be 12 and SRS 14, it would save us so much pain.

What non-trans people have to realize is you can't just stay on the ground and look at the others riding, you must have the same experiences. You would be cheating yourself if you weren't experiencing all that being a girl is. You love life, but through the eyes and mind of a girl. Now it's time to experience it through the body of a girl. That's when the wild ride really begins!

I have never heard it put that way, but wow its a great way to explain the feeling. I have a lot of trouble explaining why i feel such a need to this, now I have a good way of explaining it.
