  • bad sound quality, poor drummer. why the hell you have such sweet collection if you can't play shit ?

  • It is really hard to tell with such poor sound quality. Some of deeper-toned snares sound better with a bad mic, but if you are going to do a comparison, level the field a bit better and use better mics.

  • #1 and #5 sounds great.. but any drum with the right heads and the right tuning can sound good imo, i had an old pearl 14x5 from the late 60's/early 70's in brass.. oh do i miss that one ;)

  • This video is about 6 minutes too long.

  • @nbryc bumma.

  • Dynasonic w/ the Asama in close second.....for today anyway .

  • did they all have the same type heads?

  • it would appear that the more mindless among us are unhappy with the sound of your Bass Drum? i like a damp thud as much as the next man, but it's all about the mood. perhaps you should all fuck off, detune yr BD and learn to play the resonant way.

if you produced the clips with proper mics they might shut up moaning - it's hard for idiots to listen without aides.

  • hit those drums!.... I don't mind grooving but thats just tapping, drop the hammer on those things and lets hear what they are made of. You are missing half of the drums character hitting them so soft.

  • 1. Slingerland

    2. Rogers

    3. Ludwig

    4. Yamaha, but maybe crank it up

    5. Asama, sounds like it need to have the bearing edges done

  • Can someone tell me the manufacturer of the kick drum in this video? Thanks!

  • blimey the recording quality is unbelievably dirty. Pish

  • My favorite was the Ludwig...then the Rogers a close second...... All you "worlds greatest drummers out there with the ass comments" why cant you just accept this vid for what it is...however...yes the drums could use a good tuning for me...but maybe this drummer likes his sound...to each his own....

  • Tune your bass drum and floor tom and maybe it will sound like a drumset and not like wank next time.

  • Great beats man. Unique.

    I love it.

Some people just do not appreciate uniqueness.

  • learn to tune!

  • Maybe if you tuned them up a litte and put some shoes on they would sound better! just sayin.................

  • Rogers.... controlled and yet throaty with a great crack...in my humble opinion...

  • what is the slingerland snare called (late 70's?) and how much are they?

    thanks man, good grooves

  • not sure what the model name is, all i know it is 14x8 about 8 ply maple yep late 70's and cost me about £150 ! Thanks.

  • Ludwig or Slingerland, Rogers is also very nice

  • Your hihat pinky work is weird. Singerland btw

  • i LOVE ROGERS AND LUDIWG SOUNDZ!

  • OMG alter :D

ich find das gut auch wenn es nit so gut ist XDD

aber du hängst du rum als wenn du gleich einpennenwürdest :DD

  • I'm really sad - I expected to like the Ludwig a lot, but it was disappointing. Hopefully the acrolites don't sound like that.

  • acrolite would be totally different, they are a metal snare..

  • it's very nice !!!

    super

  • Rogers Dyna-Sonic # 1,2,3,4, all the rest # 5

  • yeah i think your right, it was the cheapest too !

  • you're

  • Go Rogers!

  • is asama a good trademark?

  • 1. Rogers

    2. Slingerland

    3. Ludwig

    4. Yamaha

    5. Asama

  • No Premier snare?

  • i actually prefer the ludwig, then the rogers, then the slingerland. Didn't like the asama or the yamaha... awesome drumming by the way. I am now really annoyed that I sold my kit a few years ago.

  • mamma che suona da schifo

  • Unfortunately andrewdavies4 hasn't got a clue!

Set sounds really fine. I favor the Slingerland 14x8

  • yeah ! some people just cant see beyond the generic !

  • Dude dampen your bass drum!

  • dampen your bass drum, i like mine how it is.

  • yeah it sounds very nice. I like them boomy.

  • thanks, exactly that was what i was after... not some over damped beachball !

  • haha nicely put!

  • I like a loud thud, not somthing that resonates, i hate that. But its your choice...

What heads are you using on your bass drum and snares?

  • all drums resonate...if you don't like it, go get yourself some moon gel.

  • it's all about the heads and proper tuning. fuck moon gel!

  • My preference would be the slingerland and the rogers but probably best to hear it in person. In this video the depth of each drum dictates a different sound. The tone is affected by the snare wires and the tension of the heads.

  • I think the most 'usable' snare would be the Rogers; but I personally like the ring on the Ludwig. Great drumming btw...

  • i love the slingerland and the yamaha... nice vid

  • i like the Rogers best (it also suits your style as well)

  • ooo very interesting..

  • imo mate :)

i like your vid with the dynasonic best, i think its sounds so good with the strainer off, you also play it well.

  • acctually changed ma mind, i love the first.

    Where can i buy it?

  • you would have to find one second hand i'm afraid..

  • thats cool with me, so did u get it from ebay?

  • yep i got her from ebay.

  • snare 4 or 5 for me

  • i like the second and the last snare....

  • good choice !

  • what do you do for a living man?

  • i work in search engine marketing..

  • you must have make good £££ eh!!

since you have all this cool drum.

  • yeah do fairly well, but most of drums of the drums i've bought have been suprisingly cheap ! pays to browse around i've found, there is some good stuff to be found !
