  • THIS IS THE EXACT VIDEO ON HOW TO TELL TIME THAT I WATCHED WHEN I WAS ALMOST 5 YEARS OLD-30 YEARS AGO....OH DALI DOES THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY ,, CREATES SUCH GREAT MOMENTS OF EXPLOSION. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT I MEAN ?!

  • The education is shows today are NOTHING compare to the shows back when I was a kid.

  • Check out the kickin' 80s blinds! Lol. They probably tried to modernise the set. x

  • i remember meeting Cindy and Polkaroo when i was little. God I remember how excited i was too :)

  • I can only remember Denis and Shelly from the Polka Dot Door. I'm so glad that I got to watch this show growing up in Iowa in the early 80s!

  • where can i buy those pants, ill tell you, half price in the zellers discount bin

  • Storytime Mouse, I think I'm in love with you.

  • I'd hit it!

  • I loved this prop as a kid (the clock and the mouse)... but I didn't learn how to tell time from it. :(

  • I met her when I was 4 :) Also, I met Polkaroo :)

  • @KristaDawn1985 What a lucky kid you were!

  • my 3 year old loves this!

  • omg...is that Shelly Long???

  • @jennrvv No. Her name is Cindy Cook. I only know this because when Polka Dot Door used to do the tour circuit, Cindy was usually one of the cast members that went.

  • I wasn't convinced by the mouse's performance . . . I just don't "feel" he was engaged in the process. He may not have even really wanted do any drawing.

  • story time mouse!!!

  • Where did you people get this from. I LOVED the Polka Dot Door!

  • When I was in grade five our teacher took us to the mall to watch Cindy do some Polka Dot Door performance about what to do in an emergency, like call 911 and whatever. We were way too old for PDD and were cringing in embarrassment the entire time.

  • I HAVE to favorite this! Storytime Mouse was ALWAYS my fav, while I was growing up. Still is, years later. : )

  • errr, its Something O'clock!!

  • How can he draw? He's got nar hands.

  • Purple and mustard yellow. Yikes.

  • I'm happy that I grew up with shows like Polka Dot Door. Now, kids shows are all really really stupid!

  • @StickItOutTillTheEnd

I agree 100%. Our generation grew up with the GOOD stuff like this, Today's Special, Harriet's Magic Hats, etc. Now all there is today, is CRAP.

  • @StickItOutTillTheEnd Growing up in Canada in the 80s and 90s rocked. Did you ever watch Under the Umbrella Tree? That was one of my favourites.

  • @jazzmatik YES!! Under The Umbrella Tree was great!! There were so many shows that no one has ever heard of because they were on TVO. I live in Southern Canada and it was very common for 75% of people to steal American satellite, so hardly anyone I know has even heard of that show because they watched American programming. They missed out! Today's Special and Join In were good TVO classics too!

  • @StickItOutTillTheEnd Haha ya. I'm from Ontario so TVO rocked my childhood too. I loved Today's Special! I also grew up on The Elephant Show, Fred Penner's Place, Mr. Dressup, Under the Umbrella Tree, to name a few. I think some of those are CBC but they're still Canadian anyway. Go Canada!

  • yes

  • Omg!!! I remember her name!!! Cindy am I right!!

  • You got it!!!

  • Who's the babe! I was looking for some eps of Polka Dot Door that showed Nerene Virgin and I stumbled on this!

  • Yeah soo I'm 18 and I can't tell time so somebody was on my youtube account and added this to my favourites lol sooo uhm.....thanks?

  • I learned to tell time thanks to polka dot door story time. I wish it was still on so my kids could learn to tell time too!!

My favorite episode is when they showed how peanut butter was made, starting with the farmer's field where the peanuts were grown.

  • "I learned to tell time thanks to polka dot door story time. I wish it was still on so my kids could learn to tell time too!!"

Yeah, who needs parents? TVO will take care of us 4EVAH!

  • she was the best storyteller out of all the hosts

  • i know Cindy Cook my family sold her our cottage on Skull Island in Manitoulin Island . I used to see her all the time.

  • my goodness! i grew up watch this show!

  • I Loved this Show ...this chick was my crush!... and I'm like 40... anyway, I'm over it....

  • i was like 4 years old jerking off to her.....

  • i think that was a part of the reason i watched it.

  • I ALWAYS thought SHE WAS HOT!!!! Does anyone know if she is single and available these days? HA! I don't care how old she is! I'd TAP THAT!!!

  • I'd Tap that

  • canadian chicks are HOT. They always have the best skin, fact, and im american and I can say this.

  • wow, this is crazy! i remember watching this like it was yesterday. i completely forgot about storytime mouse!

  • I was thinking thr exact same thing while watching it, I just got a rush of old memories!

  • I would like to hear more about this magic crayon.

    Need I say More.
