THIS IS THE EXACT VIDEO ON HOW TO TELL TIME THAT I WATCHED WHEN I WAS ALMOST 5 YEARS OLD-30 YEARS AGO....OH DALI DOES THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY ,, CREATES SUCH GREAT MOMENTS OF EXPLOSION. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT I MEAN ?!
@jennrvv No. Her name is Cindy Cook. I only know this because when Polka Dot Door used to do the tour circuit, Cindy was usually one of the cast members that went.
I wasn't convinced by the mouse's performance . . . I just don't "feel" he was engaged in the process. He may not have even really wanted do any drawing.
When I was in grade five our teacher took us to the mall to watch Cindy do some Polka Dot Door performance about what to do in an emergency, like call 911 and whatever. We were way too old for PDD and were cringing in embarrassment the entire time.
@jazzmatik YES!! Under The Umbrella Tree was great!! There were so many shows that no one has ever heard of because they were on TVO. I live in Southern Canada and it was very common for 75% of people to steal American satellite, so hardly anyone I know has even heard of that show because they watched American programming. They missed out! Today's Special and Join In were good TVO classics too!
@StickItOutTillTheEnd Haha ya. I'm from Ontario so TVO rocked my childhood too. I loved Today's Special! I also grew up on The Elephant Show, Fred Penner's Place, Mr. Dressup, Under the Umbrella Tree, to name a few. I think some of those are CBC but they're still Canadian anyway. Go Canada!

I agree 100%. Our generation grew up with the GOOD stuff like this, Today's Special, Harriet's Magic Hats, etc. Now all there is today, is CRAP.

I learned to tell time thanks to polka dot door story time. I wish it was still on so my kids could learn to tell time too!!
My favorite episode is when they showed how peanut butter was made, starting with the farmer's field where the peanuts were grown.
