Huge hornet kills june bug

These are solitary wasps. They don't build big group nests. They generally ignore humans unless you really go out of your way to bother them; or accidentally disturb their nest. They look scry because they can get real big, but they're lest of a nuisance than ordinary paper wasps or hornets.

That's a female cicada killer. She's gonna bury tat sucker and lay and egg on it. The larva will then hatch and eat the cicada ALIVE.

Interesting, I have never seen or heard of a hornet thing doing this.
